I'm looking for scripts...

So if you have one that's feature length and in your opinion ready to be seen, keep me in mind.

I'm back in the developing projects business and if I find a few that work, might be some possibilities.

Obviously make sure you're registered and protected before you send it (as a PDF, no exceptions) my way.

Are you looking for something in a particular genre?

Good to know.

Greg David has a great script that he should send your way. It's definitely worth a look.

Well I was saving this for Sir Ridley, but since that is not panning out I will have to settle. Here is a taste of Black Rain 2140 the sequel to Black Rain. If you are interested I have plenty more. This is from a scene where Charlie (Andy Garcia in the original) is playing a deadly game of chicken with a car on a high rooftop.

Quote:
The NEON RAIN soaks the Tokyo night. The model 2130 Ford sedan revs its engine menacingly at Charlie. Charlie removes his long coat, and holds it up encouragingly as a bullfighter would do to a bull. The car revs for a second more and then peels out, heading straight for Charlie at top speed. Charlie pulls away his coat at the last possible moment, revealing the deadly edge of the rooftop. The car keeps on going and then flies off the edge.

DRIVER
Jesus Christ!

The driver bails out of the car in midair. He hits the pavement hard. He's in the middle of the busy Tokyo street. He gets up and limps to the sidewalk avoiding multiple cars. He glances up at the rooftop from where he fell, only to see Charlie smiling down at him.

CHARLIE
Oh you little shit.

Charlie unloads his pistol into the driver. He stumbles back and falls through a glass window, dead.
PM me and we can get this deal going.

Nick:

How long are you going to be looking for scripts? I'm just curious, as I have one that's a few months away from (hopefully) being ready.

Just sent one your way, Nick. Thanks a lot for this opportunity and hope you get some joy out of reading.

Timeline: now until...

So far, I'm seeing a lot of fucking zombies and a few really overdone horror ideas mixed with a few interesting concepts.

I believe this site is a haven for really sharp writers. Prove me right!

There's a very good chance good stuff can come from this.

Mine's a zombie-free western, Nick. Thanks for providing me some positive motivation to really buckle down and finish it.

What about TV pilot pitches or treatments?

I have a werewolf movie script. Been trying to get the funding to make it for a while now. I figured I'd put it away until the economy got a bit better but if you're looking. And aren't "over" werewolves I'd be fucking excited and privileged to send it to you Nick.

Just sent you an email Nick.

Seconded. It's a lot of fun.

My Battlestar Galactica/Superman/Aliens crossover film script is still at the conceptual phase, but once it's done you will be the first to read it!

Cool.

One of the novels i'm currently toying with would work a hell of a lot better in script form, as its very dialouge heavy. But I have no idea how I would go about converting it, I don't know the first thing about script writing.
If only I had buckled down and finished my script over the summer instead of continually putting it off. "I'll start tomorrow" has become my mantra.

I'm probably the only one here without a horror script on the back burner. I have a first draft of an urban family fantasy which is 136 pages. I plan on going over it soon to try and remove 20 pages of it. If it is done and I'm satisfied with the result I'll send it to you.

I met a guy last night that has a script for a kid's movie(something smart in a Robert Rodriguez sorta way) and he was describing a scene where the bad guy, in order to show how truly bad he was, slices a guys throat open kinda like Gates getting his in Hudson Hawk.

I thought about this thread and wondered if you are still looking. If so I'll have him send it your way.

Since I know fuck all about the business, what do you mean by registered and protected?

He means make sure you have a gun. Duh.
