Calm down Brad, you're reacting like a girly Republican.

Speaking of Republicans, here's the real reason why Obama called Kanye a jackass:

Predictably, the comments section is full of people asking whether that actually happened. Every time I log on YouTube I find myself giving more creedence to the stories of people walking out of Inglourious Basterds going "I had no idea THAT'S how Hitler got killed!"

Not the first time Kanye's made the comparison either, as he dropped the line "My prayers sound like Ben Stiller on Meet The Parents" on the Jesus Walks remix. Makes a change from Scarface, I suppose.

Kanye has the worst taste in movies - Vannila Sky, the Star Wars prequels...

In the plus column, he has quoted fellow pompous twerp Ron Burgundy in rhyme.

Did anyone happen to watch the SNL special on Thurs. They had a funny joke about the VMA's not even being a real award... it's like a Grandma with a mug that says World's Best Grandma.

Tell that to The Cars.

Never before have so many cared so much about something so stupid.

So much fuss over a dipshit who's put out NOTHING but hopelessly mediocre music his entire career.

Most overrated musical act since fucking Kiss.

YOU LEAVE KISS OUT OF THIS JOEYPANTS!

Oh, fuck it, I'll bite. There's a lot to dislike about Kanye, but even given the fact that his last, Autotune-augmented album was an overreaching, piss-poor vanity project, you can't seriously believe that he hasn't made some great contributions to both hip-hop and pop music.

His first two albums are fantastic. I like the last two but they're not on the same level.

Really, if he'd never recorded a single song as an artist he'd still be classic for his production work.

I guess maybe Beyonce was not classier than Kanye after all.

I remember people speculating that she was offended by what he did to Swift. Aparently not. She thinks Kanye was "standing up for art". That is a slam on Swift, as far as I am concerned. I do not care for Swift or her music, as I've previously stated. I do feel what Kanye did was pretty classless and egocentric though. He has to make everything always about him, and I think that is pretty lame.

Standing up for art? Laughable.
I guess one could consider coochie popping as an "art".
I don't know after watching the "single ladies" centric episode of Glee... I've had second thoughts about the awesomeness of the song \ video. Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig it
post #272 of 279
Uh yeah, "standing up for art." I guess Beyonce would have been perfectly fine had Kanye (or anyone else) pulled that shit on her. This will probably not bode well for her.

How does she square that with bringing Swift onstage after the incident?

Black guilt?

Wow, that was tacky of her. That's like saying, "Awww, he just knows how awesome I am, and couldn't help but defend me."

...and something tells her former Destiny's Child members would disagree.

I WILL BRING YOU THE BEST I HAVE TO OFFER WITH THE SAME DEDICATION THAT KOBE HAS ON THE COURT. IT'S FUNNY HOW SO MANY RAPPERS GET WORSE AS THEIR CAREERS STRETCH OUT BUT TRUE POETS GET BETTER. WE WILL FOLLOW IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF MAYA ANGELOU, GILL SCOTT HERRON AND NINA SIMONE. THEIR WORK IMPROVED WITH TIME. THEY DOCUMENTED WHAT WAS HAPPENING IN CULTURE.
Uhhhmmm, dude...

As per the all caps, I can totally see Kanye drunkenly yelling that into a microphone. I'm all for humility and all that, but I'll admit it's refreshing to see some batshit crazy egotists out there, like Kanye or Chad Ochocinco.
