Ooooh.

Reminds me of the first time I was exposed to Pavement.

I was a sophomore in college and someone wrote on the board in the lobby:

"Anyone interested in seeing pavement in Cincinnati next weekend?"

I was wondering what was new and interesting about Cincinnati's pavement that I hadn't seen before.

That's awesome. I was wondering if they would ever get back together.

Maybe they can pull Sleater-Kinney out of retirement to come along. Malkmus plays with Janet Weiss, after all; stranger things have happened...

Please let them play some shows that aren't festivals; the only time I saw them play a large outside venue (Lollapalooza 95) was terrible. They are much better in an enclosed space.

I'll believe this when I see a statement from Malkmus. I'd love for it to be true, but I'm skeptical.

Agreed. I'd seen a club show on the 'Crooked Rain' tour and they were brilliant, so I was really disappointed when I saw them at Lollapalooza (Oddly, Sinead O'Connor and Hole were the high points of that show for me.)

They added two pre-sale shows in less then a day. I snatched up tickets to see them Thursday (which actually works better, because I won't be working that Friday next year, so I can travel in luxury).

I can't believe I'm going to be seeing Pavement live. Very excited, even though its a year away.
