Nobody gives two shits about who gets what, but Neal Patrick Harris is enough to peak my interest. I thought his open was actually pretty well done.

Hurts that Pushing Daisies is gone.

NPH is only reason to watch. Looking forward to Dr Horrible moment.

Kristin Chenoweth was her usual adorable self, what was with Vanessa Williams botching the prop gag though?

And I’m assuming The Wire isn’t nominated for a damn thing... again.

How did she botch it? Seems to me her intentional sour face and head shake indicated that her part of the gag was to be the non-participating diva. She played her role well.

I'd like to thank the Academy for awarding Jon Cryer for Two and a Half Men. I was almost interested in watching this, but now I can safely watch football without missing anything.
The pained looks on Rainn Wilson and Kevin Dillon were totally worth giving the Emmy to Jon Cryer.
NPH makes anything remotely watchable. He's the new James Earl Jones.
Vanessa Williams didn't really look like she was part of it...if she was acting pissy, then she def. won the award.

Yeah, Rainn looked really sad.

So, is there just seething contempt from 90% of the audience whenever the reality TV awards are announced?

Oh, sweet, get to see Simon & Burns lose an award right before I flip to HBO for the Bored to Death premiere.
Cryer...really

Sigh, how great would Simon & Burns’ acceptance speech be in front of a national television audience?
Tara is a really wonderful show and I'm glad Collette got the Emmy.

Same goes for Chenoweth.
I just arrived home but let me said I'm drolling for Anna Torv.
They say Kevin Kline is a good actor, but he was unable to act amused at Jimmy Fallon's autotune gag.

Carell's time is coming imo. Was hoping it would be this year, but can't argue with Baldwin winning. Although I'm surprised how 30 Rock hasn't been kicking ass tonight.

Wow, that’s some clip from Lost in the Emmy Drama reel...

...well, the 3rd season of 30 Rock had a pretty big dip in quality.
Michael Emerson always looks and speaks like he's two seconds from stabbing someone.
When the hell did Pat Hingle die? Bummer.

Shit! And Robert Prosky. This is ruining my night.
Best moment was John Hodgman saying that when the guy who won Best Directing for the Office found out he was nominated, he kissed Angelina Jolie and went back to bed.
Good for Chenoweth and Emerson.
I kind of like the fact that Patrick Swayze got more applause than Michael Jackson. I REALLY like the fact that Walter Cronkite got the last spot.

Given their individual contributions to television, and the network, the only person on that list even in Cronkite’s ballpark would’ve been Don Hewitt.
They should just entirely ban applause for those things, the shifts in volume are crass as all hell.

It seems it's a bad turn for 30 rock.

Awarding the best television from 2008-2009: You're doing it wrong.
The Emmys have the ultimate herd mentality. If someone wins once, they're a good bet to keep winning for as long as their show is on the air.
Thats not a problem with Bryan Cranston on Breaking Bad. I wish they did that with Chicklis instead of Spader.

These aren’t the Academy Awards, it’s perfectly reasonable to expect the shows that should win, not to. And as I type that, Mad Men wins.

I guess they can’t get it all wrong.
I am just glad that Breaking Bad got something for having one of the best seasons of a show that I have ever seen.
I'm glad for the "list the presenter's dopiest credit" schtick they didn't list Simon Baker's turn in Land of the Dead.

And the Dr. Horrible thing went over about how you'd think it would to a bunch of people who aren't on the internet all day.
So Creepy Ben is married to the redhead waitress from True Blood. Huh. And, damn, he talks just as creepy in real life as he does on Lost. I thought that was part of his act.
Jesus, Peggy's dating Fred Armisten.
I believe they're engaged actually, Phil.
Careful Phil, they're engaged.
Go Fred!

Happy to see 30 Rock take the comedy award again. Loved Tina Fey's little dig at Leno.

And at what point to they even bother to nominate anyone but the Daily Show for the Variety Show and Writing award. I mean this is pretty much a lock every year. Not saying I disagree but damn, 7 in a row.
Wow, NPH and Jim Parson got robbed. 30 Rock won after that awful season? HIMYM should have won.

Seriously, I'm most upsey by NPH and Parsons losing.
I'm pretty positive the only reason Cryer won was so that John Hodgman could make the (admittedly hilarious) crack about Hot Shots! being the backdoor pilot for Two and a Half Men.
Very pleasantly surprised for Emerson. A nice catch for a still-great show that's entirely lost its pop culture cache.

Man, Jessica Lange looks horrifying.
Loved Fey's dig at the Leno show.
Cyer? Really?

Chenowith + Emerson was nice.

Christina Hendricks is really nice.

I am bored to shit with 30 Rock winning everything, even though I love it.
I thought NPH was a terrific host. Get him for the Oscars.

That said, the awards themselves were predictable and boring. I know 30 ROCK is great. Same for MAD MEN. But there's some performances that I thought were better.
I was fine with Mad Men (a show that still is finding an audience) shoring up its shit for 2 seasons in a row.
It's not like last year when 30 Rock won damn-near everything. It got surprisingly shut out in categories I thought were gimmies like Actress, both Supporting slots and Directing.

I figured McBrair was a shoe in for supporting actor. Unlike most I don't think 30 Rock had a down season. But even if it was it's still better than 98% of the other comedies on TV. So I'm down with it winning for best show as long as it can.
Wouldn't have minded seeing Fey win again - especially for "The Bubble" along with Hamm. Both were sweet, funny and heart-breaking.
So, can we get Chenowith on Mad Men now? How about The Office? 24?
