2009 Primetime Emmy Awards - Page 2

The fact that The Shield wasnt nominated for anything makes the entire ceremony null and void.

Except for Emerson winning.

No offense to the guy from Lost, but Walt Goggins should have totally won best supporting Drama actor this year

I think the problem is when shows get on multi-year award show hot streaks (Mad Men and 30 Rock), it gets tiring because there's two high-profile awards shows a year - the globes and the emmys.

Bryan Cranston now has two Emmys to Jon Hamm's zero. So I guess I should start watching Breaking Bad.

Breaking Bad is pretty incredible. I'm one of the biggest Mad Men/Jon Hamm fans out there, and I wanted him to win, but I don't have any problem with Cranston repeating. It's an amazing, amazing performance in so many ways.

What's even funnier is that I don't believe a frame of the show was in their "Year in Drama" montage. I might be wrong about that, I zipped through the whole show in about 25 minutes so I could have missed it if it popped up for a second or two.

I've said this before, but Goggins shouldn't have just won the Supporting Actor, Drama award. The fucking thing should be named after him.

Jessica Lange...goddamn.
And Im not sure The Daily Show's streak even surprises me anymore.
I think that the Daily show has been in decline for years. The Colbert report should be the winner from now on.

I think that Bryan Cranston should take himself out of the running after winning two. In fact, I think it should be a rule that no actor can win more than 2 times for the same show.

and no Breaking Bad clips as well. Yet they have Law and Order in there?

Why the fuck did John Cryer win for Two and Half Men? That is the real outrage.
Breaking Bad was in Year in Drama, so was The Shield.

Cryer winning is probably because there were so many nominees in that category, and the three most deserving -- Harris, Wilson, and McBrayer did a 7-10 split, only three ways.

"I'd like to thank..."

Jebus, I hate that expression! If you'd like to thank them, then freaking thank them!

"I'd like to thank my agent, John Jones." No! No! No!

"Thank you, John Jones."

There, was that so hard?

Cosign.

Ive come to the conclusion that its best not to think about how he or the show as a whole could have been excluded.
