Venture Brothers Season 4 - Page 8

Yeah, gone are the days of the metasonic Locator (which wakes the dead), the auto-locking dream machine (Powered by the heart of an orphan) and the Venture-Stein!

Rusty Venture is best when his creations kinda work, but are either useless (The lightsaber prototype) or an afront to mankind. (He was so close in isolating that gay gene!)

Most of that shit was half leftover from his dad and worked on by people he fired.

He's a gigantic fuck-up of a character. Having him all of a sudden start being incredibly successful would be downright nonsensical. How would he even know how to do it?
Perhaps Rusty can dabble with success, only to find that he's a failure at coping with and/or maintaining it. Like, he's so used to being a fuckup that he simply doesn't know what to do when he invents something that works.

Or maybe Dean somehow becomes a success and Rusty sabotages him because of petty jealousy?

Not saying I want this show to go down that route.. but I can see success being introduced into the Venture family in a reasonable way.

Yeah, the only thing I could picture Rusty being successful with is his musical. I really hope that comes into play again next season, it was too awesome to never come up again. I'm Russsssssty....

I hope if they put out a second soundtrack album that song is on there. I think he would fail with the musical though, mostly because his alternate universe self had a successful Broadway show.

Rusty did seem to be successful in the O.R.B episode. He found it and did the right thing by hiding it again. He kicked his pill habit.

This would be great.

Listen, I'm not saying I want to Rusty to become Jonas Jr. But they need to do something with him as he's becoming the weak link.

Perhaps I'm falling into a trap laid by an unreliable narrator, but Rusty claimed the metasonic locator was his own design. He himself took the Monarch's dead henchman and reanimated his corpse, and I doubt Jonas Sr. would have created an orphan-powered dream machine. Rusty used to take his boys and Brock on adventures around the world, stopping Marekesh from being overridden by lizard men, fighting the cult of Osiris, and just going on adventures, dammit. When's the last time the Ventures went anywhere? Ever since obtaining the Orb, they've just sat cloistered in the compound, waiting for things to happen.

But on the aspect of him using his dad's leftovers, perhaps Rusty needs to stop claiming to be a Super Scientist, and label himself as a Super Engineer, someone who can keep the inventions of yesterday working, and innovate them.

Can someone post the link to Henchman 21 and 24 singing Christmas Songs

Here are all six of the Christmas songs Hammer & Publick have done. My favorite one is still “Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy” where the Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend pretend to be David Bowie and Bing Crosby.

I just had a chance to watch P.R.O.M.. Anyone notice the girl coming out from under White's DJ table during the make out/dance scene at the end? This show is all about the details.

Great episode - the hookup between Shore Leave and Al is so surprising when it happens, and so obvious in retrospect.

I think it was mentioned in a previous episode, the one where Hank trains with SPHINX SPHINX, that they've had multiple hook-ups and multiple memory wipes.

And that season finale was as satisfying as a double meat, double cheese sandwich. Love the inclusion of Pulp.

Saw those Venture Brothers Action Figure/Dolls yesterday at TRU. They look better in person but are still pretty crappy.

If you ever wanted to hear Doc Hammer sing a Rihanna song go here. It's actually quite good.

"Just Google 'Andrea Dworkin' on an empty stomach sometime."

What an amazing closer.

Here's this years Christmas song from Hammer & Publick. Also worth a listen is “The James Urbaniak Christmas Song” (entry #16), it's pretty funny stuff.

Finally it does look like there will be a season 5.
I came here to post that, but you beat me to it. Oh well, still great news! Go Team Venture!

Yeah, quite the Christmas present.

From the horses mouth:  Venture Brothers has been picked up for another two seasons.  In addition to this, in their new deal they have one longform 60-90 minute special.  Go Team Venture!

Nice, until Curb Your Enthusiasm reappears, the only comedies I watch are cartoons (this, Archer, and South Park).

It's gonna be a long wait I bet... oh well, good things and all that...

Sweet. Although it's gonna suck when that 2nd season (season 6) doesn't air until like 2015.

A 90 minute special is the closest we'll get to a movie, so bring it on! That should definitely be the series finale. Just a huge blow-out. Loved Operation P.R.O.M., mostly because a whole slew of characters got a chance to shine!

This is really great news.

Happy to have more Venture Bros but I thought the creators only had 5 seasons max planned. Would hate to see this show go downhill.

Does anyone else ever hear this play through their head when they wake up?

Per an Urbaniak tweet, looks like we get a 90 minute S.P.H.I.N.X. Spinoff movie.

This is off any topic that might have been, and back a season.

But I just popped in disk 2 of season 3 to listen to the commentary as I draw, and as I fold the case back up the proof of purchase always flaps out and gets in the way of nicely folding.

And I thought, when the hell was the last time anybody ever needed those little proof of purchase tabs for ANYthing? Are there secret contests or freebies I'm not privy to?

Is it like cereal box tops where I can send them in and get a free t-shirt? That would be pretty sweet.

Great news there will be Venture Brothers toys in the 3 3/4 inch scale. I happy
