60's Draft Rules

The Apartment to Easy Rider.

The Apartment to Easy Rider are the outer bracket --- and those are based on US release dates. Inside of those two flicks however, you may choose a film based on:

US release date
UK release date
Native release date

If a film was already chosen in the 70's draft (or 80's I suppose), it should not be taken.

Are The Apartment and Easy Rider themselves eligible?
Just fyi, The Apartment's US release date is September 16, 1960. Easy Rider's US release date is June 26, 1969.

Alright, but we'll need someone to dig up the picklists of the other drafts, because I'm willing to bet there's some great stuff that was plundered because of a later release date in the States. Damn! Search ain't giving anything today.

Kirby, have you determined when the draft will begin?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure he said this coming Monday.

Edit: Yup. Monday.

Hopefully Monday. If not, perhaps Tues/Wed. I just have to find the time to set it up.

As far as previous picks, I'm pretty good at remembering. Army of Shadows would be out. Not sure what else really.

70s Draft at http://chud.com/forum/showthread.php...ighlight=draft

I kind of remember somebody sneaking in Le Samouria, although I don't see it in the 70s list.

Martin...question about this: Am I to understand that if someone picked something in one of the other drafts (due to re-release or whatever) that we can't pick it in this one?

That's what Kirby said. Army of Shadow is fucking out, as it was released in the US last year or so. That seems to be the only one I think.

In fairness, I did not anticipate this rule change when I took it!

Le Samourai was ruled ineligible since the version released in the US was hot garbage.

June 15th in NYC. That's are start date.

And you can always draft the movies that are the brackets. I don't think Easy Rider was chosen in the Golden Age draft, can't recall.
