Anyone know...well, ANYTHING about this place? My parents are moving there and I want to know what to expect when I visit.

I've heard that the surrounding scenery is great, but that's about it.

It's about 100 miles from where my Dad is now located/retired (Yellville). Ozarks are incredibly beautiful. I have some great fishing memories on the White River. As far as the people go....remember it is the state that birthed Wal-Mart. You should let me know when you decide to visit your folks and I'll try to do the same. If nothing else we can both commiserate while visiting the land that time forgot.

Also, the roads in AR suck. Really, really suck. Almost as though they never received any federal money for roads sucked.

Truth. My father lives in northeast Arkansas, and the roads are mostly two-lane, twisty deathways. A vast number of the shitkickers out there love to pass on curves and drive 80 miles an hour minimum.

Yeah, I went to Little Rock once when I still lived in Texas, and driving there was FUCKED. I thought my car was going to revolt and kill me out of frustration.

Also, HB: Will do!
