So they finally let a Gorilla on the team.

I can't believe I'm asking this, but which gorrilla is it?
Congorilla.

I like Robinson's intentions, but the guy has been balls for the better part of a decade now. I don't want to call Starman a fluke, since he did plenty of good work from his start through the end of that series.

It's just that his Superman sucks more taint than usual. Plus, he keeps trying to force the most vapid of supporting cast into starring roles when there's no need.

The only member that interests me is the Guardian.

My reasons:
1.) He's an underused Kirby character. Maybe he'll bring FLIPPA DIPPA along.
2.) I recently found out that he now uses his shield as a flying surfboard. Look at him Go!

I would've preferred The Manhattan Guardian being used. But, I guess that requires prying the character away from Morrison.

I still dig DC for portraying a gay robosexual beastiality based relationship.

Monsieur Mallah and the Brain 4 LIFE!

DC is progressive in that sort of fucked up way.

Though, they still get a little gunshy over Batwoman.

Same here, though I don't think it would be too hard. I always thought that Morrison took the approach that once he stopped writing whatever (company-owned) character they were as good as dead to him (while, maybe except for Animal Man).

Whos the shitty looking dude in red with the blue cape and an 'S' on his tit? Not Supes surely?

Why is Batman like ten times Starfire's size?
Donna Troy and Doctor Light? Rock on shitty comics.

And Dr. Light looks like a li'l pixie.
Bagley needs to take a vacation.
I thought that was Bagley. Composite covers with different scales don't really work when you've got teeny tiny Atom in the foreground and he's the same size as some character way in the background, and all the characters are clearly overlapping and interacting in the same space. Cyborg is a hundred feet tall.

Also christ, what a lousy lineup. I've avoided Starman for a long time because of everything Robinson has written since, and I think I'm just going to continue in that vein, because clearly he just tricked people into thinking he was talented, just like Loeb did with Sale.

I bought the first hardback of Starman. It was, put politely, not good at all. But, a lot of great comic series have long gestation periods before they get good. I'm just not willing to drop another $30 to find out if Starman is one of them.

You might like "Leave it to Chance". If not, then just avoid Robinson.

It doesn't improve.

1 is a Black Lantern now, 1 is currently living up Dwayne McDuffie's ass and the other is a dirty Roma.

I don't think it ends too well, buddy.

Wiki it. It never ends there.

Is this JL any good?
I am reading Morrison run on JLA and the Porter work as penciller is impressive. He loves this creatures.

You can make an argument that the Morrison run, the JLI era, and the Englehart run are the only times JLA was truly "good". Maybe some of the Conway era to JLA #200 and a little past it, but that's probably about it.
I love Morrison, but I've never been all that big on his JLA run, there's some good stuff in there, but nowhere near the quality of his work on New X-Men, the only time I've ever spent money on an X-Men book (and this is coming from a DC guy). To be honest, I've always had ambivalent feelings about the JLA as a concept anyway, probably because it so clearly reminds me of the "shared universe" thing that has been an albatross of the superhero genre for decades..

Also, that lineup is fucking lame. It's like DC said, "Hey, let's try and see how many books we can't sell".
A shared universe was cool when Lee/Kirby/Romita etc were doing it. You'd have these cute little asides like [See Mighty Thor #11 -- Confused Stan!] and when someone pointed out some gaffe they were more likely to admit it rather than going OH CLEVER READER YOU'LL SEE WHY LATER WE TOTALLY DID THAT ON PURPOSE.

Morrison's JLA run was the only time I bought Justice League comics regularly. I thought the BIG 7 vs. THE END OF THE WORLD stories were a lot of fun. Plus, the team had good chemistry and none of the characters were wasted. Guys like Martian Manhunter and Aquaman weren't lost in the shuffle. I'll never forget the time Aquaman ended a fight with a one liner and quickly apologized!

*gives some guy a seizure*

"This one doesn't want to fight. HE HAS A HEADACHE.

....I'm sorry i don't know why i said that."
