This is pretty great. Anyone else playing this?
Not yet, but I'm definitely going to get it. The Mario/Luigi RPGs are so bizarre and great and hilarious.

I'll be all over this one sooner or later myself. From what I hear Fawful is back. He was one of the best things about the first one on the GBA, because he has FURY!!!!!

Yeah, he was missed.

This is on my radar for sure. The previews make it look completely bonkers.

Picked it up on Friday. I'm not familiar with the other Mario & Luigi games on the GBA, but I loved the shit out of Super Mario RPG on the SNES.

I love how interactive the turn-based fights are. Not simply resigned to sit back and watch a fight, you have to be pretty focused on the timing to pull of the power attacks correctly. Also, Fawful is hilarious.

I have one of the GBA ones and the previous DS one somewhere... unopened. I guess I should, uh... get on that.

Yes you should.

Mario's amazingly garbled Italian is my ringtone.

Wow. What a great title for a gay porn knockoff.

FAWFUL: I HAVE HORNY!

Mario: blahblahblahino

Luigi: WAAAAAAAAAAA

Bowser PUNCHES Fawful, who flies across the room and ends up firmly lodged in Toad's anus.

THE END

This game is fantastic.

Yeah, the transitions are handled really well and Bowser's body is a pretty awesome idea for a game world, plus this one just seems to be a lot funnier than the last one. I just finished the Plak Beach section, and you gotta love that boss fight.

I'm not really an RPG guy, but I loved SUPERSTAR SAGA. I gotta get this.

Can't put this down. Whoever writes the dialogue for Fawful is a fucking genius.

My son bought this with his birthday money, and can't put it down. He loves it.

Fuck me sideways. Am I going to have to get a DS now?

Why don't you have a DS?
I wish I bought this instead of fucking Scribblenauts.

Just haven't gotten around to it. Maybe this pay day.

I'd say a DS is really worth owning, given how many great games there are for it.

I'd happily trade my Wii in for another DS just in case mine ever spontaneously combusts.

Is this game like the first one in that you reach a point in the game where the timed button presses get way too out of hand and the game gets frustratingly difficult?

And yes, I am a sopping wet pussy.
Felt the same way about the original Scott, which was a shame cause I was loving the hell out of the game until I got too frustrated with the combat and gave up on it.

Ha-ha (actually I rented it and it got me through a couple of very turbulent flights).

I'm disappointed I haven't picked this up already. Thrilled to read of its confirmed greatness.

Not really.

ETA: To clarify - it's still there, but it's not bad.
I am stuck at a very frustrating boss battle (Flab Control). I think I need to take a nap and try beating this asshole again later, like Einstein would have done it.

The weird molecule looking guy? The trick with him is that the cue for when to jump to dodge the attack when he's split up into multiple small guys is more an audio cue than it is a visual cue.

Fuck. Just finished the Giga-Carrot minigame in 37 seconds and the Wiggler boss killed the bejesus out of me. Time for a break.

I really shouldn't play this game when I am tired. Not only did I have the sound down, thus missing said audio cue, I totally wasn't paying attention when the multi-headed form was telegraphing which Bro it was going to shoot the energy blast at.

Finally beat it that boss, with minimum damage taken.

All the dialogue is pretty great. Surprising how hilarious. I actually look forward to the mini cutscenes.
I kind of resent whenever the game actually makes me play as Mario & Luigi, because Bowser's segments are so much funnier, and he has so much more personality.
This is great. I finally did snag a copy, but I'm still pretty early on in the game. I left off where it first allows you to switch off between Mario & Luigi and Bowser at will. so far, so good. I'm particularly fond of the animations. good stuff.

Brad's right about Bowser's segments being WAY more fun than Mario and Luigi's. I'd happily take a "Monsieur Turtle Bits's Magic Adventure" over another Mario and Luigi-only game at this point.

My girlfriend needs to beat this already. Not only for me to play it, but her dsi r button crapped out so I lent her my ds lite. I miss the little guy.
