Law & Order Multiverse 2009-2010 - Page 5

"Like rolling a boulder up Laurel Canyon." Seriously LOLA? You're breaking my heart.

We know it's in Los Angeles. It's in the title.

At least it has a theme. All we got for LOLA is the series name floating over the city. It seriously throws me off everytime.

I like the use of horns and drums in the LOUK theme. They're very British, and help set up the tone of the show, much like SVU's dark and forboding wailing sax or CI's aggressive look-out-now-Goren's-gonna-getcha electric guitar stings.

3 Cast members including Skeet Ulrich already cut from LOLA and it's only halfway through season 1. After watching Southland last night it made me wonder...would LOLA even exsist if NBC hadn't cut Southland because of the Jay Leno experiment?

3 cast members?  Isn't that like half the cast?  They switched the lawyer teams each episode, but didn't they stick with one detective team?  And dropping both the ADA and DDA assistants?  What the hell?

Yeah I don't think LOLA was ever that well thought out other than the LA offices of NBC saying "we have to have a cop show set here insted of NYC."

And they had a great one in Southland but that was another casualty of the Leno failure.

Wednesdays seem to be L&O news days...

Now LOLA's return has been postponed. It's being replaced by new episodes of Parenthood(ugh). They never should have canned the original.

Saw a commercial for LOLA last night...

Looks like they are killing Ulrich's detective and they are reviving DeGarza's carachter from L&O: Classic. Plus I read that Molina is gonna become a Detective insted of a prosecutor.

I'll give it a new chance but damn...they should have just left the Mothership alone.

I thought L&O LA was cancelled. Guess not.

The two episodes last night were better than any episodes that came before by a long shot. But something still feels off. It's almost as if they were going for shock just for the sake of being shocking. Like having the little boy's throat slit, I mean they couldn't have telegraphed it any worse.

But the second episode made it clear that Molina should have been one of the Detectives from day one, he's more believeable than Ulrich.

Not liking the "theme song" they chose (although it is about damn time they had one) or the fact there is still no "ching ching".

It was good enough to make me give it another chance for the rest of the season.

So while it was on it's way to becoming a better show. Looks like LOLA is dead.

Chalk up another fail on NBC. They could have let L&O Classic run one more year, get the record and keep the same or slightly better ratings than what LOLA pulled in. But they just had to have a cop show in LA.

Yeah, that sucks; it was actually starting to feel like a real L&O show during the last few eps.

Sorry to hear LOL.A. is about done. I actually prefer it over SVU, perhaps because i like the cast and i've been to many of the areas where these eps are taking place.
