Let the Right FISH HEAD In?

Has to be a working title. It would make NO sense at all.
Remaking it because Americans can't read subtitles?
I hope Barnes & Barnes record the theme.
Perhaps we learn that vampires can never be seen drinking cappuccino in an Italian restaurant with Oriental women?

Edit: BobClark - *dap*

Eat em up. Yum.

So, does anybody still think they are taking this project seriously? My last, best hope that this thing might actually be watchable just had it's groin cut off.
Does it take place in Genaro's or something with a talking bear? What the hell...
I really hope this remake fails.
Seriously thought the headline meant that Bill Paxton was involved somehow.

Seems like a shooting title, though you give a movie a shooting title to keep said shoot a secret. Not sure why they'd be keeping this shoot a secret (not enough people care). And if they were trying to, it's clearly not working - given that their fake shooting title is being reported in the news.

I could also see Hoffman playing Lacke. Very fitting for the role. I think Hakan should be a bit older (though I'd fully accept Hoffman for that role too).
Maybe Remake-Hakan does what Homer did for Bart's evil Siamese half. Take him some fish-heads, fish-heads, lala lala la!
Philip Seymour Hoffman would be awesome as Hakan. Spoilers below:

I don't think they'll show Hakan as Eli's "Former Oskar" , since the people doing the remake said they're going to be more faithful to the book. The book expressly makes him not that way, Hakan had his own complete life before he met Eli, including being a teacher who became disgraced as a pedophile, and THEN he meets Eli. Does make the character a lot darker, and removes any sense of wistfulness or former romance from Eli and Hakan's relationship. Hakan is a pedophile obsessed with Eli, Eli knows that and uses him to her/his advantage. I'm not sure if I like this better or worse than the possibility that Let the Right One In portrayed, but it certainly keeps the focus more on the relationship between Oskar and Eli.

Oh, and I think the original title is actually Let The Right One In in Swedish, the American publishers of the book thought the American reading public wouldn't like that, so they changed it for the translation.

The book was originally titled LET THE RIGHT ONE IN. The story is about Eli letting Oskar into her life. HE is "the right one". LET ME IN implies the whole inviting the vampire in thing and is obviously covered in the story but misses the point of the original title.

Now FISH HEADS, that's the perfect title.
Perplexing.
I could see why they'd call it Fish Heads. It's a ridiculous title to match the ridiculous concept of remaking this thing in the first place.

Of course, they could have called it Blue Harvest, or something...

So, as far as the original goes... how do I tell if the Blu-Ray of the I'm buying as an X-Mas present is the RIGHT one? You know, with that whole subtitles thing.
Hey so, anyone know if the re-release of the original with the theatrical sub titles is out yet?
It is on Region 2 if that is any help...
Has to be a shooting title. I mean, Fish Head? Might as well call it Love Happens 2.
Fish... Head? I do not get it. And I've seen the movie. I do not think there was a single fish in that film, not even when Oskar nearly fell in the frozen lake.
Maybe the remake has big new fish scene that really sets it apart from the original...or something.
Unless they've decided the Vampire craze is tanking and they're retooling with mermaids instead.
This is almost certainly a fake title. Think Cloverfield.

Cloverfield was the real title.

New Moon was called Untitled Sports Movie in order to divert attention away, but this doesn't make much sense unless it's a subtle nod to the book.
I took a fish head out to see a movie
Didn't have to pay to get it in

Duh. I meant all the fake titles that came out for it. And this is also to be directed by Matt Reeves as well.

What fake titles? Cloverfield was the shooting title and no one thought it would be the real thing.
I know Cheese was a fake shooting title. I believe Slusho was one too, but I'm not sure.

It doesn't matter now because they've just officially gone back to LET ME IN. Which I'm fine with since it differentiates itself from the original.

Richard Jenkins is playing the Halkan character. That's good news at least.
