Dexter season 4 - Page 7

It's probably too early for a Dexter Season 5 thread, so I'm posting this here. I found an article talking about some decisions the producers and writers have made for season 5. The article is sparse on details but the producer said there will be no time jump between the two seasons and that they're moving away from the normal, Big Bad Serial Killer plot running through the entire show.

Check it out here:

Oh and some good news: Michael C. Hall apparently doesn't have cancer anymore. It's in remission.

They're right, Lithgow would be a tough act to follow. Hopefully this year we'll finally have Deb find out about Dex (but please, please, PLEASE don't make it be the final episode...shake it up, have her find out halfway through the season, shit, milk it!)

Though I suppose that article does confirm that Dexter WON'T be trying to hide the body. Or maybe he'll frantically try to make it look like an accident. Emotionally he's probably going through a lot when discovering the body, but pragmatically he has to realize that it would be best if people didn't his wife was the last victim of the Trinity killer.

EDIT: Hell, why not spend the whole first episode in real time, with Dex trying to decide what to do about Rita's body? Make it like that one episode of the Sopranos where Tony and Christopher try to get rid of Joey Pants' body.

The big question is whether alot of the mistakes Dexter made last season going to hurt this season.

He has a whole family who could identify Dexter as Kyle (not to mention other witnesses who saw Dexter save Trinity, look inside houses, etc). I hate if that all gets swept under the rug.

But the big question, what are Maria and Angel going to do now their married?

That sounds way too interesting to be a subplot about minor characters in Dexter.

The Dodge shilling makes me wish it would come back. OK, I'm kidding, but Dexter's narration will definitely be less cool from now on.

I think I missed that. Ugh. At least Dodge could make it all cool and Dexter-like. Stuff like: "Plenty of room for you and your Dark Passenger," etc...

Watching this on DVD from NETFLIX. I like Mr Hall and a few other performers on the show (Ms Carpenter, the guest stars), but the main cast is as weak as always, and the writing is still moronic at times. Characters speak in the most inane, inartfully crafted sentences found on pay cable, and the police stuff is so laughably absurd as to ruin my enjoyment of a big chunk of the show

Anyway, just got to the episode where Lundy died. I am posting to say I found that event sad, as he was one of my favorite characters ever to appear on the show. Creeped out by Lithgow so far too, which is surprising. He turns in a compelling portrait of evil
