hi
in the past couple of weeks i've been getting a band together for fun to play the eraser stuff live and the new songs etc.. to see if it could work!
here's a photo.. its me, joey waronker, mauro refosco, flea and nigel godrich.

at the beginning of october the 4th and 5th we are going to do a couple of shows at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.
we don't really have a name and the set will not be very long cuz ..well ...we haven't got that much material yet!
but come and check it out if you are in the area. we've also got locals Lucky Dragons playing.
all the best

I'm glad The Eraser is getting another lease on life. I adore that album.

Yeah, anytime you wanna bring this sucker over to the East Coast, Thom, be my guest.

And seconding the love for The Eraser. That album's a gem.

Indeed, it is, lads.

I think if a few of us on these boards got together to jam, Flea would probably show up. I love Flea.

I was excited while I was reading the news on NME but as soon as I read Flea that became a huge smile. Just imagine the bass over C'mon Girl amplified by Thom and Nigel's weirdness

Wow. I wonder what tickets are going to cost.

I managed to get a pair. After all the fees they were $65 a piece. People are trying to sell them upwards of $500 a pop on Craigslist.

I'm not sure how the paperless ticketing works, but it seems like it's impossible to sell both. Not really worried about that though, since I bought them to actually fucking go.

ETA : Also, I have to thank Feral Akodon without whom I probably would not have known about this in time. I don't check 'Dead Air Space' very often.

I'm sure this show got taped, so I'm going to be looking out for torrents in the next few days. I really, really want to hear this.

The clips on youtube only serve to make me pray they actually go out on tour. I loved The Eraser and the band is pretty great.
I hope they take this on tour too. I'd go again tonight if I could.

Yeah. Santa Barbara. I haven't seen you recently have I? No???? That's what I thunk.
Man, fuck that.
I'm hoping the band puts out more tour dates after Coachella. I mean, touring in CA, NY, and Chicago is to be expected, but that doesn't bode well for the people like me who live in shitty states like MI.

Have to go to Chicago.....
