Autism- The Way Of The Future? - Page 3

Until those last couple posts, I was really enjoying this debate on a fairly high intellectual level. Agree or not with whomever posted what, it was very interesting to see the different sides presented. Why'd it have to devolve into ad hominim attacks?

Welcome to CHUD, bitch!

So the two options are "you're going to come off as odd to some people, and it will take some time and a bit of patience to overcome that" and "You're broken, everyone's going to hate you because it, life sucks, get used to it", and Cuchulain is in favour of option B?

Is that how you're meaning to sound? Because that's how you sound.

Yeah, my bad. I helped steer things off course.

Anyway, I think the rise in nerd culture is also playing a part in the autism awareness fad. In America there's the shift from industry to tech happening. The jobs of the future are where people within the spectrum can excel. Or at the very least it's where they feel more comfortable.

The best cases are obviously the ones who can learn to be self sufficient. Many of the people within the spectrum can do that.
Re: P. Kate et al.
Why Rain Man isn't the best scenario or one step forward in evolution? Anyone with certain trait that is advantageous in certain context have to procreate and disseminate it in order to consider that trait an adaptation. If this it not possible to have descents there's no evolution.
Rain Man was a lucky bastard kissing Valeria Golino in her prime but that's all he got. Also, I know some stuff about genetics, Kate.

Yeah, this is how he sounds. I'm sure he doesn't think so, but you've got it, horrid.

No, I don't think you did, Bob. I sure wouldn't lay the blame with you, let's say.
