Sorbo's no great shakes, but Christ that actress is terrible in that clip. Granted, the script she has to cough up is also terrible, but she's not giving him anything to work with.

I really hate Kevin Sorbo. Hoping the rest of the movie can help me overcome that, since I saw the original S&TS in the theater at the tender age of 14 and loved every minute of it.

Having said that, what stuck out to me as not working (in the context of a movie that is, by most objective standards, likely to be pretty awful) was the music, but it may not be as intrusive or jarring when seen as a seamless part of the whole.

The actress was pretty terrible, too, but I didn't expect anything from her, really.

Sorbo always seems like a 20th century gym dude stuck in a genre movie and going with it, not a genre movie badass. And man he's looking old. But I'll definitely give it a go, loving the shit out of the original. The scene at least ties back to it, in that Lee Horseley's bounty was pretty much just to lay the princess asking his help. The pacing here is wretched, though.

Your tease of "insane cameos" did its job well.

This is my "wait, what?" moment of the year. I thought the original was utterly forgotten and relegated to Richard Moll film fests. Damn it. So, when's the first footage for Dr. Detroit 2 hitting the internet?

This looks pretty weak, but I must admit that the footage seems to match the tone of the original. I'll watch this, but I'm much more interested in seeing the sequel to 'Hawk the Slayer'.

I definitely want to see...The Sword And The Sorcerer 2, after seeing the footage. Sure I would rather see a theatrical sequel to...The Beastmaster directed again by Don Coscarelli, but this looks pretty cool. This cannot be any worse then...Kull The Conquerer also starring Kevin Sorbo.
