White Collar -USANetwork - Page 2

Except for Sons of Anarchy. And Rescue Me. And The Shield (when it was rolling).

Or Lost. Or Better Off Ted. Or Modern Family.

But, yeah, other than that, nothing good...
Lost is moving to Tuesday nights too.

Lost is really the only show that is must see tv. I'm assuming it will be at 9 pm and White Collar might push to 10 pm. Regardless I have the DVR for White Collar.

none of the other shows mentioned really float my boat.
Wait ... what? White Collar suddenly thinks it's Damages. Bizarre last scene.
I can't wrap my head around it. I'm sorry, but unless it's some weird misdirect.. no, they've lost me.
I think it's obviously a misdirect ... or else they really have no show. My best guess is that the guy with the ring (whose identity we now know) and the "big bad" actually holding Kate hostage are two different people. Which still leaves a bunch of questions.

Still ... not a good direction to take this show.

well it was definately was a wild cliffhanger.. one great to keep the viewers coming back to see how this is resolved. Obviously none of us want the "big bad" to be who we think it is, and it doesnt make sense currently.

My guess is Kate is screwing Neil over and setting this all up herself. But who knows?
That was interesting. Better be some kind of good payoff with that ending.
Wow. Terrible ending. That ruins the whole show. Did Tim Kring take over the reins?
Glad that new episodes are starting back up again on Tuesday, January 19th. Hopefully we'll get some answers. I dig the new time slot, it was tough with my schedule to catch the episodes on Friday night, but Tuesdays should work much better.
I think I'm done with this show. Just wasn't good enough to really keep me interested. And with Psych and Burn Notice coming back my 2 USA show quota will be filled again.
I think I'll check out that first episode on the 19th... I'm pretty interested in how they plan to clean up the cliffhanger from the last episode. They could either clean it up pretty easily, or take the series in a whole new direction.
Excuse the double post, but just wanted to share a clip from the second half premiere episode. Has anyone seen it yet? Good clip of Neal and Mozzie talking. It looks like they will be waisting no time in trying to figure out if Peter took Kate .
I really dig this show, although I do miss that lesbian agent from the pilot. Her chemistry with Neal was much more fun than that female agent they have now.
During the break in the season, I've convinced myself that it's now Kate playing Neal and not Peter. The clip did nothing to change that opinion for me.. But I will say that I'll be sorely disappointed if it is indeed Peter behind it all.

I liked Natalie Morales on The Middleman, but I agree that her character here has been a poor replacement for... whatever her name was.

The show's pleasant enough, and while I'm sure there's better shows on TV that I'm missing, this is one my wife finds works as a semi-distraction while she's knitting, so I've stuck with it. Tiffany Thiessen's not hurting in that regard, and I live in hope that we haven't seen the last of the Chinese Interpol agent.
I think there could be some really interesting stuff between Thiessen's character and Matt Bomer's character, if the writers choose to go in that direction. They definitely had some great chemistry in the first half of the season, so hopefully she will have more of a substantial part in these new episodes.
She's an interesting character, first of all she looks a bit too young and hot to be married to that FBI agent.

I also find it odd that in a series like this they dedicate so much time to the spouse of an agent. These are usually kind of more background characters, but she has a lot of screen time. I wonder what their plans are for her.
I think they've got big plans. I don't think it's a coincidence that the show cast Kate and Peter's wife to look like they're related.
So you think that they are possibly sisters? That would be a pretty interesting storyline, although I'm not really sure how believable it is. I feel like if they were sisters, that would of been fairly tough to keep from Neal. Either way, I'm excited that the show is back tonight @ 10pm!
Or mother and daughter. How do you think Peter caught Neil the first time? Heh. (Left Field)
Not completely satisfied, but satisfied enough. Still.. Neal knows a lot (as does Moz) but they both couldn't puzzle out the ring on their own? That's a little cheap.
I totally get their reasoning, but it's a little disappointing that Matt Bomer and USA are using "I'm from a red state" instead of "I'm gay" for their "characters welcome" interstitials with USA cast members.

I don't know if they're sisters, but it's too close to not mean something.

More than a little cheap. Now that I know what's behind that ring, I'm stunned that Neal didn't get Moz to try and find out more about the ring in the pilot when they first look at that picture. He's resourceful enough to decode the bottle and go running all over town for clues, but he doesn't investigate the big whopping fucking clue that he carries around in his pocket seemingly at all times? Sloppy sloppy storytelling. This isn't like it's some generic ring from Wal-Mart that anybody could have. It's distinctive. Even more frustrating to me is that the picture shows the ring with enough clarity so that when the audience sees the ring on Peter's hand in the finale, they immediately recognize it. If we can see it, why couldn't they? The show has spent episode after episode building Neal up as a genius, but that plothole puts a dent in all that hard work. But maybe that was the point. Neal, with all his smarts and skills, is so pussy-whipped by Kate that he can't see clearly enough to see the clue staring him dead in the face. Once he knew that it was a fed, all he had to do was have Moz run a search about fed rings. Now, to play devil's advocate, I've never heard of fed rings. Then again, I'm not Neal Caffrey, genius criminal who knows everything about everything.
Well, hmph. The intriguing meeting just became way less intriguing. Beside Neal and Moz not knowing what kind of ring that was before he came to work for the FBI (which is silly), you would think that in the time he has been hanging out with the FBI he would have least seen one. Ah well, I'm still gonna watch. I like the characters too much to quit already.
Maybe I need to re-watch it, but I don't get how Neal came to risk his life for Peter when Peter could have still been lying to him. It made him look naive, I even thought they were going to go for either Neal pretending to believe Peter, or Peter having fooled Neal while still being the "bad guy".

I like that they preserved their relationship, but the whole thing was handled rather poorly for the sake of a cheap cliffhanger. Oh well, I guess I can just ignore this little part.
Neal did have a heart to heart with Peter and his wife where he found out about the FBI pins/rings before he risked his life. Or do you think he still wasn't convinced?
That's right, still ... I kind of forgot that took place before the comic book storage room scene. He also held back even more information from Neal at that point, I guess if he would have spilled the beans totally at that time rather than at the end it would have been more convincing to me.

Bryce Larkin is gay? I refuse to believe any man would want to be with another guy after making out with Yvonne Strahovski, even if it was as part of an acting gig.

Aaanyway, this return episode was kind of weird. I'm really surprised Neal didn't know about the ring. That seems like something he would have picked up along the way since he seems to know everything else about Peter. Granted, the idea of turning your "years of service" pin into a ring is pretty weird all by itself. I've heard of using a challenge coin as a "fraternity thing" but not this ring deal. Also, props to the writers for referencing real tech. I'm so used to seeing "Chuck" refer to monitoring devices as "IG-88s" and other nonsense terms (yes, I know IG-88 is star wars nerdery) that it's kind of neat to see someone use a real Eagle.

I did like the twist at the end, though. Before that scene I was thinking they were going to wrap up the overall story pretty quick.

Guess they think that, unless you're NPH, the audience won't be able to wrap their brain around the concept of acting. I get the reasoning as well, but it's sad that this reasoning even has to exist.

I don't give a damn if he's gay or straight. That man's hair and eyes are unbelievable, and I swoon every time he's onscreen. Hot's hot, and that guy is smokin'.
I agree with you, ElCapitan. I like the fact that the writers decided to preserve their relationship. It would of really been an entirely new show had they decided to split Neal and Peter up. Now that cliffhanger is wrapped up, hopefully they can get back to focusing on building the relationship between these 2 guys, because that's where I feel the show is at its best.
This bullshit with Kate is really starting to annoy me now. Every single episode, Neal's whining on about her.

I liked tonight's episode, though. Moz and Elizabeth hanging out was pretty fun.

really good episode this week. I like that every episode isn't stealing a work of art. I'd say for the most part the storylines are fairly smart.
Yeah, the highlight for me was Moz and Elizabeth. What did Moz call her when he left for the night?

I'm kinda over Fowler tho, which kinda sucks, as I'm sure he's gonna continue to be a big part of the story for some time.

He called her El.

Not yet over Fowler. That bastard has only just begun to fight.
The nicknames between Moz and Elizabeth were really funny. Also, the fact that nobody trusted him not to steal something was funny.
Every time I think were kind of done with Neal being over Kate they pull us back in. I'm very curious as to what the origami flower has written on it that was at the cemetery. Any guesses?
One thing that they have noticeably failed to clarify is whether Kate was/is some sort of con artist/criminal, or if she's just a normal woman who Neal fell in love with. Did he meet her before he started conning or after? I ask this because her ability to pull all of the shenanigans that she's pulled so far (the heat-triggered map on the wine bottle, planting notes with hidden messages for Neal all over the city, and doing such a good job of disappearing that in the pilot, Moz can't find her initially) is becoming a stretch. Even if she's a normal chick who Neal taught these things to...I just don't buy it. I wish they would address this, but it's probably wrapped up in this big mystery of why she's being "held".

And for someone who's being "held", she sure does get around the city with relative ease.
Maybe she has an anklet on, too.
I get the impression that Kate was in on Neal's shenanigans but was protected/didn't have enough responsibility to warrant prosecution. As for how she can get around the city so easily, that seems to be a bit weird.

I really liked the new episode. Fowler seems to be a dick for dick's sake but I'm sure we'll learn more as the music box story is developed. I liked how everyone worked together to thwart Fowler and the dirty judge.

I loved this episode! Neal was looking very Clark Kent-y tonight with those glasses on, and he's a pretty good singer, even when he's hopped up on drugs. What a babe!

Elizabeth laughing at Peter having to flirt was CLASSIC. I swear, I thought she was crying for a split second. That killed me!

Pretty much summed it up for me. I also thought it was cute when Elizabeth did get a bit prickly when she first heard the magic hands comment.

This show is on a roll. Loved the inducing symptom stuff.
Elizabeth's reaction to Peter flirting was the highlight for me. I thought it was hilarious. Also loved the scene of Neal singing and trying to work hopped up on drugs. I thought the end was pretty creative too, making that guy think that he was already in India.

Trying to?! He's hopped up and he still got himself out of those restraints! Fucking hilarious!
That part was pretty awesome, also loved when he stood up from the table and tried to walk and fell right over.
The whole odd couple thing that happened with Peter crashing at Neal's place this week was fun to watch. Neal's face when Peter was sweating on the couch...priceless.
They lost points when they had the Japanese show up to reclaim the jade elephants that were given out to commemorate the Forbidden City opening up. Where, exactly, is the Forbidden City in Japan?
That made me double-take, too.
This show is great when it focuses on the Neal/Peter relationship and this week's banter was priceless. An okay mystery, though I loved the guy who wanted Neal to teach him the hat trick.

Love this show.
The odd couple stuff was alot of fun. I already like Alex more than Kate, tho to be fair, we haven't had a ton of time with Kate yet. I also liked the bad girl, she was kinda deliciously evilish.
