Am I the only one annoyed by critics getting so much mileage out of mocking TRANSFORMERS 2 when the same critics rousingly supported the also eye-burningly-awful TRANSFORMERS 1? (And I'm not talking about just Devin here.)

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Perhaps it's just me.

I'll join your tiny group. Its funny, all of the criticisms in TF2 were the same things I wrote in my own review of TF1 back in 2007. Part 2 was just bigger and more stuffed-to-the-gills.

I watched the first one on DVD the same weekend as the sequel and yeah, they're almost the same movie, "content" wise. Same jokes, same retarded situations, same gigantic, pointless cast, same issues with main robots being overlooked.

The second one does have that terrible stretch of dead air, but the action is better and there's more of a sense of danger, so they even out.

Another reason I am happy to hear that there will be a...Transformers 3 is that all the...whiny critics have to see it in theaters. These same critics that hate a great film like...Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen, like...Atonement, truly one of the...worst films ever made. I hope that Transformers 3 is 3+ hours long, so they can whine some more.

The "audience" are the behind the scenes folks. So the laughter is sometimes very forced, because some of those people probably wrote the jokes. Kind of like on Stern when Jackie used to laugh loudest and hardest at the jokes he wrote himself.

I thought it was funny. How great is it to have Starscream call you out personally? That alone was worth it.

TzuDohNihm, People were confused, which robots were which? It was easy to recognize...Optimus Prime, Jetfire, Megatron, Starscream, Devastator, The Fallen, Arcee, Mudflap and Skids. Soundwave was also easilly spotted. Those were the important robots. No one should have missed the...hot, blonde, decepticon either.

Awesome little skit. I flip on Attack of the Show sometimes since that's usually around the time I get home. I had no idea I was gonna be lucky enough to see another Devin appearance last night though, but I tuned in just in time. I still haven't seen Revenge of the Fallen, but more commentary/discussion on it is always welcome, so I was eager to hear Devin, and it was GREAT!!! Then Starscream shows up and it became EXCELLENT!!! Now then... I just have to resist the urge to head out and pick up the flick on blu-ray, but I am weak, and may fail at this.

See, the second one seemed even more dumbed down than the original (no small feat). I mean, the first had it's fair share of stupidity, but it didn't have truck nuts, a robot humping Megan Fox's leg, and not just one but two shots of dogs humping.

My wife and I were flipping through channels and saw AOTS tease the Transformers segment. I continued, as I hated the movie, and she said, "YES! IT'S OUT ON DVD!" since she loved it (or, just liked it actually, but pretends to love it just to annoy me). Little did I know Devin would be appearing in the next segment.

It was a good bit. And Jesus Christ, I would kill a lot of people to have that guy's job (the host of AOTS, Kevin, I think).

Also wanted to point out that while this sketch wasn't some miraculous piece of comedy or anything, it was miles funnier and better written than anything in the Transformers movie.
