Local Two-Player Games - any recommendations?

My cousin and I get together once a week or so and play XBOX for a few hours at a time and we're kinda wanting to venture away from the games at our disposal (Halo 1-3, GoW, GoW 2 and L4D) that we've played through several times over. The problem is that I don't see many games that have 2-player campaign mode - everything's online multiplayer or online co-op. Anybody have any good recommendations?

-Army of two and Resident Rbil 5 both are solid enough local co-op games.
-Earth Defense Force 2017 also fits the bill, but its a budget title (its still awesome if you ask me).
-Both Marvel Ultimate Alliance games have co-op, as far as I know.
-Borderlands also features split screen co op, according to reviewers.

OH - Borderlands might be a good choice. I fucking Hated Army of Two. RE5 is another good one - I wasn't aware it had split-screen.

It's kind of goofy split-screen, in that it doesn't use up all the TV real estate, but it works pretty well. Co-op(online or off) is the only way to play that game.

Yeah I kinda figured that's how it would be - I don't think I've EVER played a local multiplayer RE Game. I know there's a whole gigantic thread devoted to it - but isn't MW2 supposed to have split-screen? Hell, I might just buy a second TV for my house and have him just bring his XBOX over for some system link.

The LEGO games are fun for a rental to blow through with a friend.

If I can slightly expand the scope of this thread, I'm interested in any PS3 games that are good local co-op. I know of Resistance, but not too many others.

Me and the missus enjoy a local co-op game. Unfortunately the scope of local co-op seems limited to PSN titles.

So, Burn Zombie Burn and the PixelJunk games.

RE5 is very amusing co-operative.

COD:World at War has split co-op that was pretty decent. Only "problem" is that during specialized missions only one of you gets the special weapon. That is, only one flamethrower while running through the trenches, one rocket launcher, etc. Oh, and it's not the full campaign (no sniper missions or the Black Cat), but pretty close.
