If that is really the video they showed at the ceremony for Cruise's IAS Freedom Medal of Valor (sounds a lot like the Montgomery Burns Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence, don't it?), not only are Scientologists crazy, they put on a really shitty show and have no sense of presentation. Or yea... maybe it's a perfect sense for crazy people...

The bit towards the end of that Cruise video where he says to just "get people on board or get them out of the arena" was unbelievably creepy. I think I may check for Tom Cruise under my bed tonight before I go to sleep.

I never paid any attention to who Paul Haggis was religiously affiliated with but finding out he was a Scientologist gives a lot of credence to all those Hollywood/Scientologist conspiracies. Before now it always pained me that the creator of Walker Texas Ranger won an Oscar for writing.
