So, when I last spoke to my Mom, she told me that her, my step-dad (65) and their friends are getting together for a Murder Mystery party, where they all play different characters, dress up, and have an excuse to drink too much wine.
I remember doing one of these in High School with my sister's friends. I was a Scottish Lord and the body was floating in the pool (on an inflatable raft). But my Mom? This type of activity is really LARPing for the Agatha Christie/Clue set, isn't it?
My wife's Dad is a Civil War nut and would take his family camping near Gettysburgh and watch battle re-enactments. Civil War re-enacting is LARPing for the history nerds? Historical Cosplay.
Medieval Times? People pay good money to eat a Cornish hen with their hands and watch people LARP.
Am I offbase here?
