Brewer has already mixed sex and religion and music fairly well, so I have to say it's kinda inspired if it happens.

Just saw an EPK set visit type thing. They've recreated the hairstyles and costumes (and even certain line readings) from the original film for the remake. Wha?

My ex gets her shit murdered in the opening car wreck- so I got some reports from the set (nothing interesting beyond funny PA stories unfortunately).

Did just see the kid Miles Teller, who plays the Willard/Chris Penn role, in Rabbit Hole at the festival I'm at currently. Nice guy, kind of LaBeoufish, but he did a decent job playing a pretty tough, quiet role in the movie. Playing a guilt-ridden teenager, so a lot of confusion and awkward "I don't know how to handle my emotions" moments with little opportunity for showboating. I was impressed, and apparently he's a funny dude that could manage comic relief well.

They felt the need to show that, instead of just dropping it in exposition that that's why the preacher is so angry towards dancing? Ha ha.

It's extensive. You see the kids partying and dancing, leaving drunk, and then a pretty righteous car wreck from what I understand. It's also a way for Brewer to give his car a cameo (he's got a Sam Raimi thing going on with his car).
