Cry Me a River, YOGI BEAR - Page 2

I submitted it as news yesterday, but the trailer's out there. And it's horrendous. Aykroyd's Yogi voice is terrible. I could do better. Still looks better than CHIPMUNKS 2 or MARMADUKE though. Maybe I'll make a pitcher of Margaritas and watch this and THE SMURFS when they hit cable. Don't want to ecourage the kids after all.

You remind me like Mary that I'm scaring your little projects on the Prarie I'm hairy and hot like Yogi with a stogie so hey Boo Boo just like Fu-schnicks yeah FU too.

And yet, Timberlake's Boo Boo impression is actually pretty spot on. Wasn't expecting that.

That said, the countdown has begun for the 4chan approved Pedobear Photoshop of that poster.

Yeah, seriously. Funny they didn't just grab Frank Welker or other "anonymous" VO usual suspects.

I love how the trailer went live the same week that a bunch of people got torn apart by a real bear in the real Yellowstone National Park. Great timing, Hollywood!

Synergy!

I can't believe that poster is real. Unless they're intentionally stealth-marketing to the college crowd.

As bad as that was, my reaction is still "apathy". I enjoyed Hannah Barbera's various cartoons as a kid, sure, but looking back they're thoroughly mediocre if inoffensive. This just looks to be continuing that tradition, and it's similar to my reaction to the Smurfs movie: it's awful, but I just don't care enough to get angry.

From that poster I can't tell if Yogi is trying to eat Booboo, if Booboo is about to tell Quaid to turn on the air generators, or if it's a "Furry" reenactment of Deliverance.

I feel bad for Harold Ramis. Somebody get him a crappy CGI 'toon update to voice. Ernie Hudson can do Hong Kong Phooey.

Considering the "rape bear" on the FURRY VENGEANCE poster, I'm sensing a meme.

Ignoring the tagline, and the fact that he might be doing something to the other bear... just Yogi's face on that poster. Holy God, so creepy!

I want to know what lead to the current cultural zeitgeist of apparent bear sodomy?

God, I wish Slater's blogpost about Rapebear was still up.

You guys think that's creepy?!? What about this?

It's a freakin' headless bear!

He sounds like he's doing a Rodney Dangerfield impersonation, with maybe some Jackie Mason in there. Very odd.

I'd ask Timothy Treadwell, but well, he's... unavailable.

Friends of mine were joking about that poster and tagline this weekend. Could barely believe it's real, but there ya go.

Sad to see they failed to follow my advice and went with a CGI bear..

Just noticed the trailer for this abomination last weekend.

Can somebody explain the though process here? Kids don't know who Yogi Bear is, if you are a stunted adult Yogi Bear fans (how many are there, like 10?) wouldn't you want to see the "real" Yogi Bear (2D hand drawn, not creepy 3D version).

One day somebody has to do a documentary of how these idiotic ideas get pitched to Hollywood. I would pay a ton of money to see that, instead of this nonsense.

When Yogi Bear makes more money than Tron: Legacy, it will be the Internet equivalent of Jonestown.
