Tati, any word from the customs office?
None yet!
they said they would get back to me.
But it was a friday afternoon and tomorrow is a holiday. I fully expect them to have taken the longer weekend.

Will know more in a couple of weeks.

Grr. I'm casting for a backup plan, but none of the Argentine e-commerce sites I've searched have enough options. Recommendations?
It's no longer a gift, Hammerhead. It's a quest.

Damn right. No toy gets left behind.
Will Kane should be getting his gifts soon. Maybe by Wednesday if things work out.
Whirlybird's has shipped today and will be arriving (theoretically) soon! Huzzah!

Don't sweat it. You've done more than your part and i am truly grateful. This is the stupid government being stupid!
Everybody's is almost shipped! Crossing my fingers and hoping that everything arrives in one week.
Troy should be getting his soon. They were all purchased via Ebay (4 different sellers), so hopefully they get sent quickly. I did send a note to each seller that they were holiday gifts, so let's not wait until February to get them in the mail.

Jason, I will be looking for the package (ha!) and let you know when it arrives! Thanks again!
Hammerhead's gift has been SHIPPED!

It's gone priority, so sometime next week.
Doc Happenin, your shipment was split into two but I have since received e-mail that both parts are due to arrive on or near the 12th (this Saturday) I guess the gold boullion I bought was too heavy to ship just in one box?? <sigh> one of these days ecommerce will be able to fulfill my visions...
Oh Jesus...

If it's a severed head, I'm going to be very upset.

Looking forward to whatever craziness you've planned, Ludwig!
Jeremy should get his stuff tomorrow.
PsycheOut--Your big box of badassery is on its way. Prepare yourself!
MrMushnik, your stuff will be arriving in two boxes. Amazon's showing one delivering Tuesday and one Wednesday.
I'm sending out Subotai's gift on Monday, and it's taken this long for no other reason than I've had a hard time figuring out what to get. I can't handle decisions.
Rath's will be going out next week - Tuesday most probably. A thousand apologies for the delay, sir.
More apologies to follow - to Diva and Justin Clark, whose stuff finally just went out with an ETA of IdontfuckingnowbuthopefullyontimeforXmas. In this case, I wanted to send both gifts at the same time but one of the items had run out, so if one of you wants to get on with punching someone, take it on the other instead of on me (oh, yes, the old trick).

And JC, can't wait for badassery. Hopefully, it won't be a bad case of ass herpes like last year due to a certain Mr.Hocken, who thought I'd only use his autographed Tara Reid underwear as a collector's item.
I don't celebrate Christmas so no worries about the time frame. It gets here when it gets here.
Whirly is just sending out the goodies right and left. Got another package today from him. Its a concert-docu Elivis That's the way it is.

Great stuff Whirly.
Mr. Cellophane's gift(s?) shipped yesterday and should be arriving at his home shortly.
Judas' gifts are en route to the frozen north!
The first of Nick's gifts are in shipment.
ALPHA IS HERE!!!

After weeks of intense negotiations, the terrorists at UPS have finally released him!

Thank you once again to Hammerhead, Justin, Diva, Troy and Ludwig for their amazing generosity and making this happen.

I'll post pictures when i get home, now i get to spend the rest of the day at work enjoying the weird looks people give me when they see a 14" plush dog on my desk.

You have done well, my trusty lieutenants.
Yaaay! Alpha's not going to spend Christmas in jail! Please post a picture of him in his happy home, Tati.
I expect a slide show of pictures ala The Hangover documenting your and Alpha's merry adventures around town!
Tati, Troy, Justin, Diva...

We started off being vague acquaintances, but now. Now we are BROTHERS.

Although after watching Up again a few nights ago, that Alpha dog is sort of mean. Him being in customs jail for a little bit almost seems like karmic justice. Also, I hear that chicks dig getting motor-boated by stuffed animals. Proceed with your weekend/dog shenanigans Tati.
I will do!

I'll secure a Dug soon enough to keep them in the right company!
Psycheout--So, I checked Amazon just to see if your goods ever got there, and it says a delivery was attempted, but nothing after that. Got any status updates on your end?
I got Matches' stuff yesterday. More than generous - to send a Michael Biehn completist a copy of the Criterion edition of the Rock, and a $50 gift card for Criterion. Human Condition here I come!

Thanks, and Happy New Year, amigo!
Psycheout--Just remembered that I've been sans communications from both sides of this thing. Checked Amazon.co.uk for the status of Psycheout's goods, and there's actually a status update from this morning, but no other info. Did you actually get it?

Meanwhile, I havent heard from Nick at all, but he's had kid issues, and there's no reason to push.

Anyone else with gifter/giftee issues?
Another project Nick picks up and leaves mid way. Haha
post #135 of 147
To be fair, Nick's kid was in the hospital just before Christmas so his mind was likely elsewhere.

As for me, I haven't heard from Psycheout aside from his posts in this thread. I've gotten spoiled over the years, so there was bound to be issues sometime.

Justin, the Gift Exchange Gods must have it in for you to stiff you two years in a row. What'd ya do?
Nothing that my lawyer has authorized me to talk about until after the hearing.
Fret not sir!
Really hoping Ludwig's gotten the package by now, since I sent it three or four days before Christmas. I know it's Canada and all, but I hoped it wouldn't be this late.

I haven't received anything yet, but I am not panicking. Parcel post can take waaay longer than expected, ESPECIALLY if it got held up at customs. If you didn't mark it as a gift in the form, I more than likely won't see it for another week yet. And there is nothing stopping those pushy bastards from ripping it open even if it is a gift.

<shmaltz>
And besides, it doesn't matter if I get anything, it was the GIVING that really mattered. I don't ever get into this kind of thing for the loot. I do it for the love. I am reminded of these words Avatar's Neytiri spoke onto us.

Even though Rath hasn't ratted me out I'll go ahead and cop to my dickishness and say I still haven't sent his box yet. But I will very very soon. And I'll blow a few kisses in there to make up for it.

Well, maybe you'll feel less guilty if you know that he hasn't gotten mine out yet, either. It's all good, though, because he has been in contact with me, and we're cool.
Damn, there have been some slackers this year. Matt received my gift on Dec. 9!

**I keed. I keed.

Did Cordo get his?

I got the package yesterday. The shiny black wrapping paper with metallic red bow were apt wrapping for the copy of the BSG Pegasus Boardgame Expansion. The book you had bungied to the box (Shadow of the Torturer) ended up being loose in the shipping box due to total bungee failure, so I almost missed it!

Thank you so much for the awesome gifts! I was going to go out at the end of this month and purchase the expansion myself, as the normal BSG game gets lots of play in my regular gaming group, so this is awesome!!

So glad you didn't have it already. That's a weight off my mind. Enjoy!

Amazon refunded Psycheout's gift two days ago. It was apparently undeliverable. This puzzles and saddens me.
