Computer Restore/Router Reset question

If I decide to restore my computer to factory conditions do you guys know I would then have to reset my router or should the password be maintained and thus save me the hassle?

Thanks.

If you restore your computer to factory conditions (and not a simple system restore to a few weeks ago) everything will be gone and you'll have to reenter the password for internet (wireless, I assume?) access.

Next time write the password down in at least 2 locations.

ETA: I think there are apps available that will read your hidden passwords and reveal them.

EATA: You might want to try this: Asterisks Password Viewer

Well I do remember my password for the router itself...I'm just wondering if I need any other hints/info so to speak.

I've never had to use it before aside from the initial installation so that is why I asked.

Shouldn't really matter when you restore your PC. The router should be set up for it's own login/pw, and then the login/pw for your ISP. Otherwise, that's about it. Also, make sure you remember your router's IP address/hostname so you can access it again once your PC is back up and working again. The only reason you would have to re-enter passwords for the router is if you reset the router settings.

I'm about to switch to an "N" router. My current router keeps having to be reset like every 2 weeks or so, which I'm getting tired of. I think I'm just done with Netgear, and will go to Linksys or D-Link.
