I was very excited to see the American Reunion movie. I saw American Pie just after college and remembered it was quite funny.
Jim, Michelle, Oz, Heather, Stifler reunite for their high school...
My big issue with it is that at moments it's more about influence (Ico over Shadow of Colossus, Braid over non-douchery) and at times more about better game (Vice City over GTA: III) and sometimes neither (Final Fantasy XII over IX).

Based on the ones I've played it seems like a decent list. I agree with the pick of Vice City for the GTA peak and their reasons. I probably got more a bit more gameplay fun out of San Andreas, but Vice City was the one that most embraced the fact that the series is best when played for laughs, and they got the tone exactly right.
Deus Ex was the most glaring ommission for me, though it would also have been nice to see Psychonauts get yet more love.

Uh, Brutal Legend was awful therefore his previous games sucked. Sorry, thems the gamer rulez.
I get the "who cares about lists" talk, but they are fun discussion pieces, when not taken too seriously and there is a clear focus (which I see this list is lacking).
Psychonauts wouldn't have been one of the best games of the past decade. One of the funniest and arguably one of the most entertaining, sure. But no, good as it was, it's not one of the best of the past ten years.
Personally, I would've liked to see some recognition for NHL '09, because not even just as sports games go, but as games go, it was pretty incredible.
