I'm beyond glad you said that. Aside from yourself and two other discerning music-types, people in my sphere seem to like (or, at least, just not mind) them. Admittedly, my tolerance of that strain of British music is almost non-existent, but groups rarely rub me up the wrong way as much as they have. They, honestly, are like something out of a rubbish sketch on BBC 3 at 2 in the morning.
It fills me with hope that you were unfamiliar with "Jedward" until today. Unfortunately, most of the ones I work with (and the kind of magazines they leave lying around) put paid to any such chance I had of the same blissful obliviousness some time ago.
It could be my comparatively limited exposure to the track/girl, but Ke$ha doesn't bother me nearly as much as Gaga (not prefacing that with "lady.") I can see where folks can get into that kind of thing, but are people really that easily distracted by shiny things and k-
