What the hell does a six-hour reprimand by 400 students even mean?

Bradley signs extension to stay with US Soccer through the 2014 World Cup.

I don't know how to react.

Considering I doubt anyone can argue "if only ... was the coach we would of won the world cup" I don't really see any big arguments against the extension.

It's the feeling that with Bradley, the US will only ever be a certain level of "good"

Sure, they may have flamed out with Klinnsman, but the feeling is that they have the chance to be better with him, much better than they'd ever be with Bradley. And the USSF is notorious for not being risk takers.

If the only goal is to advance to the knockout stage, Bradley is fine. But if we want to actually make a dent into the World Cup, Bradley should be out.

Maybe it's different for soccer, but we all know that if a team goes out and constantly falls behind at the start of the game, the coach is blamed. Add in the disaster that stick with Robbie Findley, Bradley did not have a good cup and a poor confederations cup showing (up until beating Spain), I'm disappointed.

Maybe he's developing players and sing 10,000 different players will work out, but I was hoping they would have gone in a different direction.

From what I understand there's no beer in Qatar and the average high in the summer is somewhere around 115. For contrast, the average high in Phoenix for the summer is 105, and it gets much, much hotter.

That would cup is totally going to suck.

That's just sad. This article goes on more about it:

Quote:
While no Qatari officials have been linked to any scandals yet, the chairman of the country’s bid has already had to deny reports that Qatar promised to trade votes with the Spain/Portugal 2018 bid. Anti-corruption watchdog Transparency International, noting the misconduct and rumors surrounding Thursday’s vote, asked FIFA to postpone it—but the group declined. So the soccer world will be watching Geneva to see who wins out: a country (be it the U.S. or another contender) actually able to host the 2022 tournament, or the one willing to flash the most money in the face of an organization perpetually dazzled by it.

"Blatter: Gay fans 'should refrain' in Qatar"

http://msn.foxsports.com/foxsoccer/w...m-sex-in-qatar

Quote:
FIFA boss Sepp Blatter said Monday gay soccer fans "should refrain from any sexual activities" when attending the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

The president of soccer's international governing body was speaking at a press conference in South Africa arranged to discuss the legacy of this year's tournament.

"I would say they should refrain from any sexual activities," he said.

He went on to insist that he believed discrimination would not be an issue in Qatar by 2022, adding, "we are living in a world of freedom."

Yeah. God damn he's a ridiculous son of a bitch.

He "apologized" for the statement today, however, nobody really has answered the question ... is Qatar going to prosecute gay tourists?
