It isn't really any worse than the plethora of shitty horror anthology shows of the late 80s and early 90s. The pilot and the Nosferatu episodes are the ones that stick out the most.

The third season of P&P got caught up in the Paramount merger and was taken off the DVD release schedule and has simply never been put back on. A damn shame, because that show is still greatness and it appears I am not alone in that sentiment, so they could turn a tidy profit (it was already set for release anyway).

From what I've read, the DVD was almost complete. Even the cover art was released. What a shame.

(double take)

Wait it was complete? What are they waiting for?!

"Reprise the theme song and roll the credits!" I'm glad some other people remember Roundhouse. Every time I bring it up around friends I get a bunch of blank stares.

I bought some really crappy quality dvds of all the Pete and Pete episodes a while back, and was cursing myself when they announced the official dvd release, but at least now I have the third season if they never get around to releasing it. It's one of the few kid shows that you can enjoy on another level as an adult.

Brian Robbins was the source of evil behind those Nickelodeon sketch shows, wasn't he? You can draw a pretty straight line of creative bankruptcy from All That to Good Burger to... Meet Dave.

I can't believe someone else has also had "Call the poliiiiiiiiiiiice" in their head for the last 15 years.

There was some talk show on Nick that had Robert England as a guest for one episode. The host even said you can cook food by playing your Nintendo till it heats up

I know this thread was supposed to be about sitcoms but it looks like it veered off topic awhile ago.

So nobody is going to mention Invader Zim? You want to talk about subversive. Watching it in my early 20's I kept getting the impression that the creator was a social loner, who hated Nickelodeon (despite the fact that they spent millions giving him his own cartoon), hated kids, hated people in general, had probably experimented with lots of drugs, and only wanted to expose kids to his sick and twisted humor in the hopes that they would grow up to be like him. A few google searches later pretty much confirmed those theories.

Edit to say I think IZ is the bees knees.

Ok so after further review, The Tomorrow People is ass. I can definitely see liking it as a young lad with an imagination, but wow does it suck now. I didn't even make it through half of the episodes. It's just dated and doesn't work anymore, though retrospectively I do appreciate the Lawnmower Man-esque special effects. I think this show had a coolness factor for kids like me that is now completely gone thanks to the barrage of other great shit that has come out in the past fifteen or so years. Oh, well.

This was a newsflash for nobody.

Is Nick News still on?

Wow, Pete and Pete holds up surprisingly well. Everytime it goes into earnest sitcom territory(And it does. A lot.), there's a line or scene that's so weird that it cracks me up.
