I did because of co-workers. It's not terrible, but if it's in your top 10, someone needs to find you more music to listen to. Or you jsut listen to pop music.

EDIT: And I'm not bitching at maintream pop music. The last Justin Timberlake album wasn't bad at all, but Shakira? To each is own, but mind you, it's Chocula.

The video for that 'She Wolf' song is fantastic.

I thought it was a bit of a disappointment when it first came out (too repetitive in the song-writing department) but it's improved greatly on repeat listens. Still a lesser work than TBTBTM, but that's a stone cold masterpiece anyways.

Baw. The Weepy Rockist can't appreciate the clear delights of über-catchy Latin electro-pop. She-Wolf is the pop song (and video) of the decade. Go listen to Muse you little shween.

And did some idiot nominate fucking Shakira????
Face Control is a huge jump from Plague Park, which really didn't leave an impression on me. I think the album will likely be forgotten on these end-of-the-year lists, which is a shame. Handsome Furs have found their "sound" and I'm actually excited about any future album. Pitchfork did like the album. They gave it an 8.0. I'd probably bump up that score to 8.7 or something.

Ok, Martin, I dig your taste and opinions, but I actually like the Shakira album. It's not something I listen to constantly or necessarily want to listen to on repeat, hence it didn't make my top 10, but someone could do much worse when it comes to pop music, don't you think? Musically, it doesn't sound like anything else on the pop landscape, for the most part. And her vocals are pretty darn sexy and hypnotizing.

Maybe I was biased from the start, and I'm completely biased by the fact that Chocula is a retarded troll, so maybe I'm wrong in the album. Who knows.

She Wolf is such a fun album it's ridiculous. I had a similar reaction to it that I had to Lady Gaga's 'The Fame Monster' where I was passed the album and went in expecting very little and was really hooked by it. Of course She Wolf is a fuckton better than The Fame Monster largely because it feels a lot naturally funner, whilst Fame Monster sort of disguises how needy and fucked up it is with some great beats.
