Maybe it's just my current borderline unhealthy obsession with the Fall Be Kind EP, but What Would I Want? Sky is in a pretty good place.

I'm up in the air on most of the list (and I have to admit I haven't heard even a bigger portion than usual with Pitchfork's singles list), but the top 5 are pretty dead-on. I might switch the top two and I can think of a few others that could probably substitute for a few of those, but as it stands, I can't think of a good reason why those five songs wouldn't be top five material.

I'd swap Stillness with My Girls just because Stillness seems to be more palatable, but I also never expected a pretty kickass club track from Animal Collective. So yeah, it's a tough call.

And you guys were right about It's Never Been Like That being better than WAP - my only complaint is all the occasional scoffing in the songs. For some reason I fixated on that, but yeah, great album. I had only heard the title track before, so the rest of it was a treat.

Yeah, like Dave, I haven't heard a lot, so this list is more an indication of how out of touch (or uniterested?) I am in modern music according to Pitchfork.

There's some good stuff on there, though. Despite being totally uninterested in Bat for Lashes for some reason, I ended up loving the most recent album on the way back from London in October (British Airways has some good shit on their in-flight entertainment system--pay your cabin crew, BA!). "Zero" is great, and the XX stuff is pretty good, too. I can't get down with Animal Collective, so that's probably lost on me. Kudos for including "This Tornado Loves You," which might be my favorite of anything on that list.

I'm not familiar with a large swath of these this year, so the only change I'd make would be to swap the places of 1901 and Lisztomania. Both are great, but the latter has been rolling around in my head non-stop.

I really was waiting for someone to do that.

By the way, if you want to hear these 100 tracks, there is a torrent on thepiratebay of the top 100.

Ah fuck. Now I'll be stuck with Stillness is the move in my head again. Not that it's a bad song, but jesus...

Go Pitchfork.

'Empire State of Mind' should be in the top 10. That chorus is probably Jay-Z's most indelible since 'Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)'.

Handsome Furs' 'I'm Confused' is top 5 of the year, easily.
