I'm pretty sure Rob Paulsen was the voice for Yakko...

You know what, Lively? You're right. My bad. Frank Welker was on Animaniacs though. He voiced:

Runt, Flavio Hippo, Buttons, Ralph the Guard, Thaddeus Plotz, Chicken Boo,

More importantly though, he did the voices of:

Megatron, Soundwave, Skywarp, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage, and Ratbat. As well as Mirage, Trailbreaker and Wheelie on Transformers.

omg have to track down episodes of Captain Planet with James Coburn as "Looten Plunder" (this sounds more piratey than polluting, tbf.)

I was a bit of an amateur Planeteer growing up, and a big fan of the show. I am interested to know that Martin Sheen spent three years voicing a pretty ridiculous character!

Not so fast, President Bartlet!

Also, already knew about Mr Burton as Kwame. He is cool, one of my favorite actors ever since I watched READING RAINBOW when I was growing up

Am I the only one who thinks Kwame would be cooler with a visor?

PS I still joke with friends till this very day about the power of heart

I was into some really crappy shows when I was a kid (Power Rangers, Spider-Man on Fox), but even then I saw this for the terrible crap it was. It was one big PSA for not littering and diversity. I go to school for that Ted Turner, so keep this shit off the tube. Thank God Batman: TAS was often on opposite this.

That said, that's an impressive voice cast. Asner also did a great Jameson on Spider-Man, and I seem to remember Tim Curry voicing the villain on the ultra-shitty "Super Human Samurai Cyber Squad".

David Coburn, who played Cap himself, is the son of James Coburn.

And that creepy rapping gay guy from the B-52s guest starred as those dismebodied green lips that "rapped" the theme song in later seasons.

Coburn/Looten Plunder is in the end credits of every Captain Planet episode. He's the character going "You'll pay for this, Captain Planet" right before the rap.

I like Dean Stockwell as much as the next girl, but that statement is flat out looney.

I guess you've never tried to spout technobabble while wearing one of these?

Not as easy as it might appear.

Excuse me, but would you care to tell the rest of the class what is so terrible about not littering?

I actually have been known to pick up litter and throw it away when I encounter it as I move about the world, so I can hardly think of a more important message to brainwash kids with.

I'm not familiar with Dean Stockwell and David Warner. I just recognized a bunch of those others right off the bat. Don't ask why I was looking up info on Captain Planet.
