Yeah, I'm going to have to agree that there doesn't seem to be a need to change their appearance. Having "normal" looking people would heighten the suspense and make it hit a little closer to home psychologically. Hopefully it ends up being solid anyway.

Agree in principle, but making them normal, smiling citizens might come off too M. Night these days, and maybe these guys wanted to embrace the pulpier roots of the piece.

But I now wonder if the Rage Virus look is something that's fairly late stage for the affliction and just given extra weight in the trailer. This new trailer makes the wise call to end on nut trauma instead of nuclear devastation.

This reminds me a bit of the comic Crossed.

Put a paper bag over the circle-jerk zombies and the horse cocks, and Crossed is a good horror comic. Wish Ennis had played it straight. Looking forward to The Crazies, but as I understand it, the sheriff has no baggage? Isn't an Iraq vet or anything?
