Blu-Ray Screenshot Thread

Thread Starter
I've been busting my back trying to develop a better way to grab Blu-Ray screenshots over the last few weeks.

I figured that I use a thread in here to post the results and try to garner any other BR inclined Chewers to post the shots they capture.

Played with the captures some more today.

Scaled down from 1080 source.

Name some flicks you want to see, I'll post what I can

Did you get anything else from Blue Underground.
Those NxNW screengrabs look amazing. Especially the title card.

I'll join in, if anyone want to see grabs from my collection.

BTW- Is it frowned upon to post full scale grabs?

I don't do full scale grabs, since it drags on people with slower connections.

Mr Anderson, is it possible to get this capture without the watermark from The Dark Knight?

but what I really want is a picture of the Joker at the mob meeting where for a split second he looks directly at the camera. I have an animated gif idea for an avatar.

EDIT:

Found out what the deal was. Thought I was given a fully working copy of AnyDVD HD. Turns out I wasn't. Until that business gets straightened out, I can't do the screenshots.

Did you still need some of those Joker shots?

I'd love to do some comp shot for my New York Ripper review to really point out how much better the Blu-ray looked. It's probably the best thing I wrote all year, and I wouldn't mind putting it back on the front page. If you have time and could find similar shots to these it'd make my month, or months.

I'll capture them, thanks though. I kinda forgot I had a digital copy lying around. Since they're gonna be an avatar, it really doesn't matter if I get an HD capture.

(totally off topic: Calling you Mr Anderson, I was wearing a suit and glasses at the time. Creepy or coincidence? Go it out of the system, won't happen again)

I've got more, Gabe. Just let me know how many you need.

Does anyone have the original Halloween on blu-ray and is able to do screencaps and feels like doing me a favor? If so, PM a brotha.

Anderson, if you can, can you get a screen capture of a few things...

http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Rocky-...eenshots/6784/

The fifth one down where Rocky has his hand in the air with the dog in his arms. I don't like having the water mark. And the same shot from the first movie. With his arms in the air after he runs up the steps. And if you want to get ambitious a cap of the last photo in that link. And ideally... if you could email the first two at least in full res, no compression that would be true greatness! PM me for my email. Thanks man!

I suppose 7 total would do. I'm allowed violence, but no nipples. I need at least one shot of the dead stripper with the broken bottle next to her. That shot is colorfully drab on the dvd, and you can't see the bottle.

Holy Shit, that Inglorious Basterds shot looks incredible.

Give me a bit to knock these down. I've got a couple of NY Ripper already done and stored in a screenshot folder. I'm going to start trying something a little different and setting up a link list for everyone to peruse shots without compression.

That way I can save space and not have 4-5mb shots of 1080 video flooding the thread.

There's absolutely no rush, man.

Any chance we could get a screenshot of Shosanna's laughing face projected on the smoke? I would be ever so grateful.

Let me work on it. I've got a couple of Basterds shots, but not that scene. I can hunt it down.

Nice! Thanks, Anderson! Now I don't have to put up with that damn blu-ray.com watermark.

Still working on Rocky I and the others. I hit a roadblock with Ran, Contempt and The Crazies. Trying to work around it.

Any chance I can get a screengrab of the "stoned" shot of Danny's friend during the climactic bar mitzvah in A Serious Man?

I didn't receive the disc for review purposes. But, I might be able to knock that down in the future.
No worries. Managed to get a decent screengrab off of a Youtube HD trailer that had the shot.
I'll try to get a cap of it later today, as I have the disc here.

Edit: Nevermind, it seems from your new avatar that you got it.

Well, I'm in the hospital without being able to finish my Evil Dead, Anchor Man and Prince of Persia reviews. I'll need caps for those someday.

I never got Anchorman. Prince of Persia and Evil Dead I can do. I was going to try and do a bonus Evil Dead BR review for CHUD, but interest didn't seem to be that high.

Do you have the Psycho disc yet? I'd love to see some stuff from that.
