Well, it's out. Anyone listened?

I did, and I have to say, they really, really dropped the ball on this one. It has moments of interesting goodness, but on the whole I don't know what the fuck they were thinking, honestly.

They totally ruined the flow of the album, and what's it worth covering the whole damn album if you're not going to retain the basic groove and flow from track to track?

Also, their reworking of Breathe is terrible.

I do LOVE Peaches replacement of the sultry female vocals with a distorted banshee-like wail. Maybe later I'll sit down and give a running commentary or something while listening.

That's disappointing. Maybe it will sound better live. They're playing the whole thing tomorrow night at the New Years Eve Freakout thing here in OKC. I'm still excited.

I'm sure that's going to be a fantastic show regardless. If I was going to see it live though, personally, I'd want to hear it first. Otherwise, I'd be spending a good hour with a big "huh?!" look on my face.

Really wish I could be there for that one.

Well now I definitely won't listen first if it is that much of a diversion. They are playing AFTER the ball drops too. My friends and I will probably be suitably sloshed by that time so it can go either way. The crowd will be tired and drunk so at the very least it will interesting.

Yes. He plays the part of all the crew members from the original album.


ETA: It's sad how many of the stupid comments on that article above cite the "wha?! Can't they come up with anything original?"

Oh, you mean original like the ENTIRE NEW AMAZING FUCKING ALBUM THEY JUST RELEASED?! Ah, Internet. Vibrating the vocal chords of the collective retarded.
