Using fan footage and the large amount of footage released at http://www.nin.com a group of fans recently released Another Version of the Truth: The Gift in a variety of formats including DL-DVD and 720p for streaming to a PS3 or what not.

I've been working on my own edit of this since it was released.

Other shit keeps getting in the way of me finishing it. I'll post a link to a torrent whenever I finish it.

Just in case anyone's interested. Mine's just from one show (Victoria, BC), not a collection from all three, so it'll surely be different.

Cool! There's a lot of creativity and energy in the trailer I like.

Ugh. I appreciate that a lot of work went into this, but the editing literally makes it unwatchable. It's so rapid I can barely look at the screen. I'm a few songs into it, there hasn't been a single shot that held for more than 3 seconds, if that. Most are in the 1 second range. I don't know how they could even watch it like this while they were editing it.

There are other much more gentle edits out there from this footage. I'd much rather watch a single straight on angle, bootleg style, than this ADD mess. Unfortunately, I have to say don't bother with this one.

I'm only a few songs in, but I am loving it so far. It looks and sounds amazing for a fan made project.

I've yet to watch this, but this makes me not even want to bother.

I guess I'll give it a shot when I can actually fit it on my computer, which is about to burst.

I feel your pain. My edit holds shots for much longer. I'm a big fan, as far as concert DVDs go, of making me feel like I'm there and actually catching the show from different vantage points. I tried to keep my cutting not too kinetic, unless it was appropriate (and even then, it's not nearly as rapid as these).

I'll be sure to bump this when it's ready (should be soon, only a few more songs to tidy up, then a 2nd pass).

Also, for the more visually intensive songs later in the set (i.e. The Big Comedown, etc.) I just hold the center/soundboard angle. I may do edits of those and work in an angle option feature for the DVD (never done that though, we'll see how much trouble it gives me).
