If you for some odd reason actually flipped by Spike TV when the ad for Blue Mountain State came on, then you would know that its a raunchy American Pie-esque college Football comedy?

Can it really be better than the long and almost forgotten HBO's 1st and 10?

Wanna see more? Check out BMS HERE. It looks mildly interesting.

If anything, it's worth watching the first episode to see how far Spike is going to push cable tv standards on Nudity (which I'm guessing is very little).

Caught wind of it from the promotion on the last UFC Fight Night on Spike . . . thought I'd check it out, and yeah. It's ridiculously absurd, but you're only fooling yourself if you think there aren't genuine laughs to be had. It's just over the top, and there's a surprisingly large amount of charisma from the central cast, I was quite surprised. Can't see it lasting long in the post-Tivo/DVR/torrent/somehow-ratings-still-decide-this-shit world, but I'm in for the ride while it's around . . .

I found this to be pretty entertaining (to my surprise). It's so over-the-top that it might as well be animated. The pocket pussy episode gave me 3-4 good laugh aloud moments.

That episode was amazingly absurd - loved it! The story of how Thad got the Pocket Pussy, I almost wished there was a flashback with Christopher Walken sitting a young Thad down to tell him the story . . .

Okay. No bullshit. That last episode, with the "Drug Olympics", was one of the most ridiculously funny half hours I've seen on TV in years.

I will freely admit, however, that the emphasis here is on "ridiculous".

Kinda saddened no one else around here is watching this. I gotta say, I didn't think I could be more grossed out/laugh my ass off at last week's episode with Thad hiding the condom in his mouth . . . this week's episode came close with two words - "oil change".

Been renewed for a second season due to increasing ratings as the season progressed, too, so happy about that.
