The Dead Zone

Has anyone been keeping up with this show? It really is great even though I don't think anyone thought it was going to be. Anytime they adapt Kings work its usually turns to shit. And who thought a whole series about one book would be so damn good? Anyway I bring this up now beause last nights episode, ascent, was one of the coolest ones yet. I mean they actually saw death himself! I honestly don't think it was just a figment of walt or johnnys imagination. Thoughts?????

I like it. I'm not able to watch it as often as I'd like but it's cool. Watched the whole first season at one smack when they did the marathon.

Unfortunately due to my unemployment running out a month ago, my & my family's financial situation has become a dire one. For the first time in my life, my cable got shut off about 2 weeks ago. So I got to see the second season's first episode, but have missed the past 2 . Which is indeed a big bummer, because it's one of my favorite things on TV right now.
After some big reservations about it before it debuted, USA's THE DEAD ZONE has become THE version of choice to me & that's saying a lot considering how much I like Cronenberg's film & Christopher Walken's Johnny Smith.
Missing the new episodes is a very painful thing for me, but I'll catch up as soon as our income tax return comes in & we get our cable back or a dish installed.

Sean Patrick Flannery is a great Stillson.

It's definately blasted past all of my expectations and one of the few shows I will not miss. Honestly I'm kind of surprised that it's doing so well, not because it's so good, but there's no real formula for its plots, it shakes things up every once in awhile.
And I gotta admit, its nice for once to like a show that isn't getting cancelled.

We had free cable for a while.. our neighbors moved out, and well.. our cable went with them. At least we have the series on DVD.

I usually love this show, but this week's get-in-touch-with-the-coma-victim episode was a real snoozer. Maybe if I hadn't seen The Cell or the Shades of Grey episode of Star Trek it would have seemed fresher.

If you missed it, USA shows repeats the latest episode several times during the week. Then they show each one again on the SciFi Channel Friday line-up.
