It's a reactionnary attitude to all the right-wing religious fundamentalist, who are exactly what you described.

To include him for that, you'd have to include all the other known religious and vocal opponents to gay marriage, abortion and so on. And there's a lot. even in this thread. Except Hitchen's beliefs aren't affecting your quality of life, while the religious one's are affecting's other people's condition.

He was a strong proponent and supporter of the war in Iraq. Still, even while I enjoy a lot of his articles I do think his manner of presenting them comes off that way. So he's a good fit.

He was and is one of the great champions of the war in Iraq and is always leading the rallying cry against Muslims of all stripes due to a weird emotional investment in the Rushdie affair. He compared Bush to Jefferson for taking on the Muslims. The guy is a fundamentalist, he's just a fundamentalist of a different stripe.

My goal was not to make this a list of the evil people or anything. Just the cunts. People who maybe shouldn't be killed for their transgressions, but maybe they ought to... people who abuse their position, etc.
