Conan the Cimmerian

I just picked up the The Coming Of Conan The Cimmerian. It is the first 13 Conan stories that Howard wrote in their original forms and in the order they were written compiled into a book. These stories are really great and hold up really well after nearly 80 years. Their are two more books, The Bloody Crown Of Conan and The Conquering Sword of Conan. I'm probably going to pick these up when i get some extra cash.

They're great stories, but I find it best to read them in small doses. I tried to read all the way through the first book and reading all of them back to back really highlighted the formula, to the point where it became a little repetitive.

I bought The Complete Conan a few weeks ago and I'm really enjoying it so far.

Good advice. It's the same when reading H.P. Lovecraft.
