Strangeland.. Why is it so hated?

Now let me state for the record I've never seen Strangeland. However I went looking up reviews on it so I'd know whether or not to actually purchase it. And well all the reviews were pretty brutal. It was like the second coming of Ishtar. So I'm wondering why everyone hates this film so much?

Is it THAT bad?

It's just awful.

Honestly, I was really psyched to see this when it came out way back when. I saw it in the theatre and felt horribly robbed. The acting is terrible, the entire story is just loosely thrown together, it's boring essentially. What could've been a fairly cool serial killer flick is just blah.

Not even the prospect of some interesting scenes of torture and mutilation is enough to make me watch the movie again.

Yep, it lives up to its rep. Pretty friggin' bad.

Again, a missed opportunity to deliver something truly disturbing. It features what I like to call the "blabbermouth killer" - a maniac who rambles on, theorizing death and pain, without making much sense whatsoever. "Feardotcom" recently had one of those. I'm not really sure what Dee was going for with this one.

Damn!! Having to owe Armaggedon an appology is pretty bad!

Alright after reading all this I'll save my pennies and look for dvd goodness elsewhere
