Basketball league for white Americans targets Augusta

A new professional basketball league boasting rosters made up exclusively of white Americans has its eyes set on Augusta, but the team isn't receiving a warm welcome.

The All-American Basketball Alliance announced in a news release Sunday evening that it intends to start its inaugural season in June and hopes Augusta will be one of 12 cities with a team.

"Only players that are natural born United States citizens with both parents of Caucasian race are eligible to play in the league," the statement said.

Neither of whom would qualify for the league.

Can't believe anything this grotesque will actually happen, but I've been wrong before.

Was just reading about this. The fact that both Dirk and Nash wouldn't be allowed in the league is so funny.

In January of 2008 I'd never have believed it would happen. But the past two years of Palin and Tea Parties have taught me alot about racism in America

I saw this article today, and the weird thing is, I was thinking about this very issue last night

I don't think it's that black people are better at basketball... it's that culturally it's black dads teaching their kids, and black kids looking up to black atheletes that play.

In white America, it's football that's the big cultural thing. So white people with natural athletic abilities end up in foot ball by default, because that's where they're pressured to go by parents and pop culture

A white basketball league as the answer though would be almost laughable if it were not so sickening.

There are so many jaw-droppingly inaccurate stereotypical statements here, I don't even know where to begin. So, for my own sanity, I won't.

I am a non-sports player*, so that was just my own hypothesis based upon what I've seen in my life and on television


But I am surprised to hear it's inaccurate. When was the last white guy basket ball movie? I know there must be Caucasian American fathers who teach their sons basketball, but at least in Massachusetts you wouldn't know it. It's all little leagues and mini-football or even soccer around here.

PS There seem to be alot more white people in the WMBA than the NBA, from what I've seen

This is pretty racist. Against white people. It's basically saying whites can't compete against blacks so they gotta start their own league to get onto a level field. White people should be outraged!

Now, I've learned pretty much everything I need to know from film and, if there's one thing I know for sure, it's that WHITE MEN CAN'T JUMP! Amiright?!? I mean, sure, an All Caucasian basketball league sounds great, but I've been down that road and it's only going to end with Rosie Perez ditching Woody Harrelson and people's mammas being called astronauts.

These guys are gonna be so pissed when they start their league and start getting their asses kicked by the original stereotypically-naturally-talented-at-basketball-playing ethnic group: The Jews!
