Archer - FX - Page 2

Let's all say it together now.

"Sexual addiction is not a disease, asshole."

Love this show. Especially the ones where Archer goes on a RAMPAGE and Pam get's kidnapped.

"The IRA? How many Irish mobs are there?"

My DVR is recording tonight.  Archer's website says 3-week special.  So is this the start of a new season?

Not really.  I gather that we're in for another hiatus after the 3 episode arc.

According to wikipedia: "It was announced on March 29, 2011 that Archer was renewed for 16 episodes. Three episodes are expected to air starting September 15, 2011 as the finale to season two, with the remaining thirteen comprising season three to air in early 2012"

A nice bonus, even if it's just three episodes, especially since I thought it was just Sunny starting up again tonight.

My DVR died recently, but I made sure to set the new one for Archer and Sunny so I should be all set for viewing tonight.

New Archer and new It's Always Sunny.  Life is good.  Like, Pele of anal good.

Three weeks of a great one-hour block, I hope.  It is three bonus episodes, so I'm pretty thrilled.  New Season will probably start in January, like S2.

I'm glad I saw this thread, 'cause I've seen ZERO promos for this tonight. Thanks guys.

And whatever my equivalent of 'sploosh' is... which I guess is just 'sploosh'... only with semen.

Yay Patrick Warburton Yay!

That was gold. Pirate gold. So... booty, I guess!

KING of the Pirates.  lol.

A great episode. It appears the three episodes will form a little story arc. Well, it started off extremely well.

"Cooch-Chili."

Last night's is already a classic in my book.

"Excuse me for needing time to grieve."

"By tending bar and banging newlyweds?"

"Apparently that's my grieving process."

Anything between Rip and Archer was awesome.  Great new character.

Also, David Cross!

awesome stuff. But damn Patrick Warburton must voice 90% of everySUBMIT animated show on TV.

Yeah, seriously.  Anyone else think they missed their opportunity for a Venture Bros. crossover?  He basically was playing Brock Samson 2.0.

"Um, I don't know, just try to use your powers for good."    "no"

"I have literally had nothing but liquor and mangoes for the last 3 months, so unless you want to fly 1000 nautical miles sitting next to that..."

"BRIIING! RIIING! Hello? Hi, it's the 1930's, can we have our words and clothes and shitty airplane back? Call you back, 1930s, and hey, watch out for that Adolph Hitler, he's a bad egg."

"Whoooohooohoohoo! Two personal records: for breath holding and number of sharks shot in the freaking face!"

I am so glad this is back, if only for 2 more weeks. I love this show. David Cross and Patrick Warburton!

Just rewatched this.

"If the 5-year-old me knew that, he'd have a huge boner right now."

"Like a big, beautiful, no-limit unicorn."

And I love that we got another, "firing-a-gun-right-next-to-someone's-ear" scene. Great callback.

I was laughing constantly throughout this, and probably missed a couple of lines, so I can't wait to see it again. Holy shit, that was incredible. Archer's "1930's voice" just slayed me.

RUSE!!!!

As funny as this show is, it's actually becoming a really good adventure show, too.

"...because I might eat all those fat little chidrenz."  I'm already using the term "chidrenz".

I loved the simplicity of Archer lobbing grenades back with a Lacross stick. awesome.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

This was another great episode.  I'm seriously loving this show.

Any idea when Season 2 is supposed to hit DVD?

And yeah, this "Heart of Archness" has been great. I can't wait to see next week's conclusion.

The "unaired pilot" on the season 1 DVD is just the pilot, with Archer replaced by a velociraptor for the entire episode.

You know, you would think the joke would wear off, but seriously, I watched all 22 minutes and I laughed the entire time. When Archer changes outfits, so does the Velociraptor. That kept me cracking up.

Greatest news today? Maybe.  Hilarity will ensue.

Even bigger casting news...

Scratch that, even BIGGEST casting news...

Playing the role of an astronaut on the space station in the (2-part) season finale will be... Bryan Cranston.

SPLOOSH!

This is great news.

With "sploosh" I believe the semen is implied.

Not exactly.  Tyres actually gave an exact quote from Ray Gillette.

Sploosh is usually reserved for the ladies.

It was a triple win. I expressed my excitement, quoted Gillette, and managed to imply that Farsight was a woman.  Hey-O!

:D

So... over/under on Burt Reynolds being Sterling's actual father?

I mean, he's gotta be.  Or would that be too weird, with Archer idolizing him?  Oh, wait, this is Archer.  There IS no too weird.

I would like to answer your "too weird?" query with this bowl of cooch chili.

Love the show in Australia it's on really odd times on the Comedy Channel so it's hard to catch it. Waiting patiently for season 2 on DVD. Has season 1 come on Bluray?

Turns out my 12 year old son likes it too. Wife was watching Law and Order while he played with his iPod, someone mentioned a dead call girl, and he chuckled and said to himself, "There not called call girls when they're dead Cyril, when they're dead they're just hookers!".

Yeah, naturally I got in trouble for that.

Well, I do have the hands to be Lana...

SPLOOSH!

Ah, but which Cranston will it be? Goofy, manic Hal or dour, intense Walt? BOTH could work! In fact, let him play TWO astronauts! Or at least let the other one be played by Aaron Paul...

According to the Huff Post, Michael Rooker and Jack McBrayer will likewise be playing characters in an upcoming episode (Rooker as a corrupt West Virginia sherriff, and McBrayer as Gillette's hillbilly, marijuana-farming brother).

Season 3 - this Thursday!

I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of my MASSIVE THROBBING ERECTION.

"Is that a ghost?" absolutely killed me.

An excellent start to one of my current favorite shows. Laundry list!:

-"YOU'RE NOT MY SUPERVISOR!....wait, who is my supervisor?" is a terrific continuation of that Season 2 running gag.I also loved how they played up Gillette's new handicapped status ("OK I GET IT!") and Krieger's van is once again destroyed. Cyril firing blindly out a window and screaming was also great.

-Drunken, sobbing Malory will never stop being hilarious. Neither will Pam's lack of a filter between her brain and her mouth.

-Burt was classy and funny as hell, and I love how Jon Benjamin played the war within Archer between gushing over Burt and agonizing over the idea of his hero dating his mom. I liked how they concluded it too: Burt gives him some crucial advice, and Archer makes one small step forward by confessing that he wrote the note (followed by Malory bashing him in the head with her purse: "What is wrong with you?!").

-Woodhouse confusing Burt for Clark Gable=solid, fried gold. So was Archer giving himself away by thinking people still refer to Hollywood as "Tinsel Town".

-The Cuban hit squad mistaking Gillette for Archer by using the photo of the latter in the awful gay disguise from Season 1's "Honey Pot" was a damn good callback.

-I simply can't get over Archer's hilariously douchey "Leave a message" voicemails.

-I think my favorite Burt film shout-outs were the reference to him directing Gator and his sarcastic referral to Archer as Hal Needham.

"This deuce isn't gonna drop itself!"

"My panties are wet enough to drown a toddler."

Also, I think Aisha Tyler might remain the underrated MVP of this show. She just makes every line delivery sing, even stuff like "Matalo!"

FINALLY watched the ep last night.  Burt smashing Archer's nose into the dash after saying that was awesome.  A fine welcome back for the series.

"Ugh, it tastes worse than it smells!"

"If I had a nickel for every time I heard that!...I'd have eight nickels."

The delivery of that line was killer...she thinks about it and then seems thrilled that she would have forty cents more than she does now.

The Predator line killed me (figuratively).

Also, "What about you Ironside, you rollin' dirty?"
