Pittsburgh screening of 35mm 'The Beyond'

The Andy Warhol Museum is screening a 35mm print of Lucio Fulci's 'The Beyond' this Friday, 1/24. Afterwards, there will be a performance by local band Zombi (they make 70s horror-soundtrack-esque music, taking cues from Carpenter, Goblin, etc.) $5 gets you admission to both.

I'm going to try my hardest to be there, if anyone else is gonna be in the area, I suggest that you go. Hell, lemme know, maybe I'll come talk to you, if you aren't too much of a LOSER !

EDIT: P.S. the film starts at 6 PM, Zombi begins approx. at 8 PM.

Actually Floydian Trip, THe Beyond played as a midnight show at the Music Box about a year ago. Who knows, maybe they'll bring it back, never hurts to email em and ask. It was in the smaller of the two houses when I saw it, but full.

Damn! I won't get home until 5:30-6:00. I might have to plot new and interesting ways to get out of work early. The curse of being a working stooge.

Now you tell me Doc! How do I found about about going ons in the Chi-Town area as far as horror goes? Are there any local publications or good web sites?

Hey Floydian,
I'd thumb thru "The Reader" everyweek. It lists every movie showing that week alphabetically (and includes video showings as well at some clubs, etc.) Also convention, etc news is in there too.
The Music Box has midnight shows every week and they have their fair share of horror flicks. I think they even have Rocky Horror shows everyonce in awhile now. The cast that used to do it at the old theatre I used to run does it there now, but not sure if its just Halloween or not. I saw the silent "Phantom of the Opera" at midnight on Halloween there a few years ago with a live organ. Was very cool.
Their site is : <a href="http://www.musicboxtheatre.com/" target="_blank">http://www.musicboxtheatre.com/</a>

Also, this place is only open on the weekends, but you should definately check it out!
