Anyone check this out? It's kind of unusual by Morrison's standards, but surprisingly conventional by anyone else's. It's a riff on "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" style of young-adult fantasy, with the hero being a kid who goes into hypoglycemic shock and starts imagining that his house is a fantasy world, his toys are alive, etc. Standard setup, but the execution so far is top-notch. The artist, Sean Murphy, really does a terrific job lavishing detail on the house and making it seem like a real, 100% substantial backdrop, almost a character in and of itself. In fact, there are a few ignoramuses bitching about this online because it spends several wordless pages introducing us to the environment of the house, even though this is clearly going to be crucial to the story, and does a terrific job establishing atmosphere and sense of place.
The cool twist, which isn't really brought up in this issue, is that apparently the epic quest the kid undertakes in his mental fugue is all happening in the 20 minutes or so it takes him to stumble downstairs to his medicine.
