This looks good. I just caught an ad for it while watching TV and had to see if there was anything on it. Dig the vibe, hopefully it lives up to the trailer.

I never did see the original, but I think this looks pretty fun. At the least it's a break from the torture porn brand of horror which seems to be on the way out. That may be wishful thinking though.

The original Craizies was one of those "great concept, dubious execution" movies that you WISH would get remade.

Hopefully we actually get what we* wished for in this case.

Agreed. In fact, I hardly remember much about the original except that weird incesty left-turn towards the end.

There's no incest in the remake, I assure you.

Yeah, I didn't think so. Hollywood nowadays would probably even take out the incest angle of a remake of Oedipus Rex.

The original is a mess. Long, boring stretches focused on the military/government conspiracy angle of the story. I'm sure it was the brown dirt weed Romero was smoking at the time, but it's hard to imagine that it's the same guy who directed the lean, mean NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD.

When I first saw the TV spot for this, before I went here and saw the other two spots I thought this was somewhow a brainchild from The Wanderers with the crowd chasing after people being akin to "The Duckies" .. not gonna lie there is a little bit of disappointment in me that a film like that isn't developed but I'm still interested in this one!

I think I missed seeing the original Crazies ... which is weird because I've seen just about every single horror movie \ ever made* but then again I can't remember the names of almost any of them only scenes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5baVDcjv5-E Here's a trailer for the original and a few of the scenes seem familiar but man.. this looks like a lemon! I love it.. I want to have a bad movie night party with this! I doubt it could live up to the greatness (read: so horrible you have endless material to work with) that was King Kung Fu but what could?
