Its cracked, but holy hell, this is amazing

Guess "Assassin's Creed 2" isnt so unbelievable now, eh?
I have no trust in the article's source, but even if half of these are true, then its still amazing.
The SEAL suit is creepy as hell, thought.

I believe I've come across quite a few of these before (in my Art History studies of da Vinci), so I'm leaning towards all of them being actual da Vinci designs. Da Vinci was pretty out there and ahead of his time, so I'm not surprised that some of his crazier concepts are only just now being broadly "discovered" and appreciated. The Sub and Solar Power ideas are probably my personal favorites for the utter balls it took to advocate for sunlight as energy resource and underwater warfare.

I cant help but wonder how twh world would have been if da Vinci had been sponsored the hell out and every single of his designs/project had turned into reality.
Bet we'll be all talking italian right now.

There was a discovery tv show that had them build some of these inventions. It would have been cool if they had kept all the reality drama out of it.

I really wanted to love that show but I just wasn't interested in the boring whiney douchebags trying to build DaVincis inventions that the show seemed obsessed with concentrating on.

I'm not sure if it was the same show but the show I saw had a group of guys trying to build an artillery weapon in the shape of a massive crossbow.

Would have been interesting but ego starting coming into it even before 1/4 of the way through the build and they went off of da Vinci's specs, which was the whole point of the show. Not surprisingly it didn't work and broke, then again it probably never would have anyway but that was the whole point of the show in the first place, to see if his ideas translate to reality. Not some douche's modern engineering take of it.

Yep that sounds very much like the show I was watching.

It's called Doing DaVinci

It both manages to seem like a porno and get across that the producers have no idea that "Da Vinci" isn't a surname, it just tells you where the guy is from. I guess "Doing Leonardo" would have had the same problems with connotation and would have been less alliterative.
