Dark Country

So Thomas Jane is actually a pretty good director, he really surprised me with this movie. The story isn't anything new or amazing, just sort of a throwback to Twilight Zone and EC Comics stories, it's also pretty funny at times. One thing I did find it kinda weird was that this type of story was done in 3D, it's mostly two people riding in a car, and there is pretty only one or two real gimmick shot in it - the best one being Ron Perlman stepping through blinding white light onto the screen, and that would have just been an awesome thing to see in 3D on the big screen.

The performances are all pretty good, and it's got a decent pace, the ending - it's pretty much a like it or hate it ending, it's pretty weird even by Twilight Zone/EC Comics standards, but I dug it. Though I gotta say, I think it could have used a little more of the "Bloodyface" character in it.
