I love tech like this but in all honesty it's pretty impractical. They would need to have planes flying 24/7 with the lasers onboard and there are only a few of those. These plans would also have to be in the area where missles may come from. While there are some hot points there, it doesn't cover everywhere. And Russia/China and others are focused entirely on MIRV tech that renders these and other defenses basically useless. Unless they all get shot down with rockets thrusting like the tests, but I don't see how that is possible. But hell, I love the fact that we're at least experimenting on this and that it's technically possible. It is awesome. There sure as hell better be a Phase II to arm the dolphins or I'll be pissed.
