BLACK PANTHER the "animated" series

Wow this is embarrassing. Either make a BLACK PANTHER animated series or don't. Instead Marvel decided to give BET 20 bucks and a pair of scissors to cut out John Romita Jr. drawings.

Apparently it's airing in Australia. I guess because Australia was the only country to agree to air this on television? Starring Stan Lee as "racist general" and some guy who sounds like a helium-filled Martin Sheen as Captain America.

Wadew1, The Black Panther was already supposed to have aired in...Fall 2009. Well...Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes will also feature...The Black Panther, so I think that I will wait for that, instead of this tripe. Motion comics are fine, but unless it is still the...1960's, The Black Panther should have been given a fully animated series, as the character is just too cool, to be in a chintzy show like this.

So, this is on DVD now thanks to Shout! I know we got a DVD review on CHUD... but am I the only one that's gonna say this was pretty awesome? I mean, it's pretty much taken from Hudlin's early BP run in the comics, but it's not COMPLETELY like a motion comic - there is SOME animation.

Marvel buffs especially will get into it, as there are lots of fun cameos. And Djimon Honsou actually does a pretty excellent job voicing Black Panther. Best bit has to be Juggernaut throwing a cow at a flying plane.
